Worried about the hamstring…Anyways, Argentina got the job done, Messi had an ok game (the assist was great though).
Now it is the time we all had been waiting for..This is his chance. No one could imagine he would get to another WC final, aged 35, having without a doubt the best tournament of his life.
He may not be at his absolute best (acceleration is still there though at times) but he seems more wise than ever and more calm and composed than ever.
This Argentina team may not have big names, but they resch this final in arguably a far better situation than 2014.
Back then the team had barely beaten Switzerland and Belgium and needed a goalless draw to best the Netherlands. Messi looked lost in comparison to today.
