There is no way we would be a serious contender for CL next season.

We've won 4 games in last 16 in Europe , we've failed to advance from the CL groups 2 years in a row and we got shit on in fucking Europa League.

Just lol at having any sort of conversations where Barcelona could be a potential serious CL contender for next season.

Hopefully Messi comes and leads us out of the groups and gets a proper farewell before going to Al Hillal or wherever.

I get you, but why do you think that going through the CL group stage next season is unachievable without a 36y old Messi? Do we really need to buy a fucking DeLorean and go back in time to achieve that? We started a new project this season so we need to move on from Messi, Busi, Alba and that entire old guard.

Messi has been out of CL in last 16 the last three seasons and in last season at Barca were second to a bang average Juve side and only had two other shit sides to beat.

Lets not pretend he is some CL cheat code.

Barca if win league will be in Pot 1 and would be heavy favourites to proceed without Messi.

At this stage of his career Messi is completely uncoachable. Furthermore, In 90% of games he will be horribly unmotivated and Xavi wouldn't have any authority over him. As I said many times before, he is an indisputable GOAT and a club legend. However, he deserves a tribute match and not a tribute season!

You'll change your tone after Messi will lead us to a league title and a CL semmis.

HOPE.

Exactly my point. 36 yo, won the world cup and nothing will ever motivate him to play again at that WC level again.
Also, too old to count on for cl, except if we discard everything we try to build and focus on covering Messi and providing a platform for him to perform, only to get past the groups or at most get to 8 with a lucky draw.
There is no point for him or us to come back as a full time player.
The era is over and it was beautiful.

Tribute season would be good, trust me, if we can make a last dance like documentary

We would be the richest club in the world again

Chiqui Tapia, President of the AFA: When Messi retires internationally, we will withdraw the number 10 from the national team, and no player will wear it after him because he deserves this honor.

BIG !
