What makes you think next cycle will be different?
It seems now coaches and youth academy are more focused on producing hyper efficient players than the technical players.
The next generation will be in the same mold of Mpabbe, Halaand and Fati. Clinical and efficient players.

I think Messi leaving made the reality hit hard, they probably thought we will manage to keep him some way or another so no need for them to take pay cut when Messi is renewing for twice than any of them.
