Poor Messi.

Barca doesn't have midfield, Argentina doesn't have midfield, Psg doesn't have midfield.

Or more likely: he does what he wants, drops deep and turns every team into a chaotic one.

Psg will be more chaotic and unbalanced with him than without him.

He'll bring some Youtube goals, but he'll slow down the play and brings unbalance.

A player without clear position since 2012.

I didn't want you to be right but you are

Him playing as a true winger/wing forward in 14-15 is what resulted in a 60 goal season and a treble.

As usual, you have a valid point but you exaggerate. Things got out of hand since end of 15-16.

Might be true, seems they're more stable with their Di Maria, as he sticks to his wing and also presses well

His free role was good when he was in GOAT mode but last time we saw it was in 2019

Yeah, but 14-15 is more of an odd one. Messi had the same tendency before (as BBZ pointed out 2012). Not that it cannot work, but makes it hard.

Couldn't go back to what he was now even if he wanted to.

No way THEY get past the R16. City will win the group. If THEY get second, one of the group winners will beat THEM in the first round anyway.

Messi's been playing a free role since 2010 actually. But he was disciplined up until 2016...and since then he's been dropping deeper and deeper to the midfield.

They had many chances to put the game to bed. Once all players are fit and they get some matches together they'll get better.

Messi just has to break the ice and the goals will come

Messi's walking around is too taxing even for PSG.

3 day walkers on the pitch when Mbappe was still walking.

Wijnaldum the back/side passing poser. thank PSG barca dodged a bullet.

Paredes got lazy on his assignment giving up the first goal.
