what a trash game.

Arg had like 3 big chances to score in the first 10 mins. At this rate it's going to be a 0-0.

Messi was good for the 20-30 mins, very bad for the rest of the game - a lot of poor touches and misplaced passes, did not get a sniff at goal as usual these days. He needs to step up in order to have any chance at all to even podium for the Ballon I think.

Relax, he is still clear favorite

They better give us the W for the Brazil match now. We're in a good spot anyway but those 3 points would let me relax a bit.

Honestly speaking despite Ronaldo being a walking deadwood for quite some time, he does look sharper and more decisive when it comes to goal scoring opportunities. Messi just can't find his role, now that his pace and athletic abilities are on decline.

what do you mean he can't find his role? he put opportunities on a plate for the likes of mbappe or joaquin correa.

there was always talk since years ago that messi will play-make more and more as he gets nearer to retirement.

His role is right there, as a number 10.
Though, there aren't many true number 10s left at the highest level.

Joan Laporta: “I did hope that at the last minute Messi said he would play for free. I would have liked that and he would have convinced me. I understand that the League would have accepted.”

Laporta: “He had the offer from Paris Saint-Germain before it was announced that he was leaving Barca.”
