while being indifferent to or even against Barca,
ON A BARCELONA FORUM?
Relax, he's saving himself for the World Cup
And Messi has contributed about an infinity times more to Barcelona than anything you or Rassvet will to Barcelona in your lifetime (or me for that matter so you don't think this is personal). Supporting a player (not against Barca but IN GENERAL) who gave us 1,000 G+A is not a crime and if you want to shame people for supporting Messi in general on a Barcelona forum, you need to do some serious re-evaluating.
1) I am not a footballer, mate.
Your argument is dangerous. It's the "you are not allowed to criticize someone unless you can do it better than him"
Apply this to all domains of life, and see where it leads
Criticism is different than calling Messi a retired player after he just topped Copa America in all statistical attacking categories 3-4 months ago.
If people here claim this current Messi is prime Messi, I would be the first to call them deluded. Is there actually anyone who thinks this? I legitimately cannot name 1 forumite.
No, it's criticism. Why is it different when folk say the exact same thing about Pique for instance?
Maybe it's a kind of criticism that many fanboys don't like, but that's a different issue.
You can't police what is criticism and what is not like that.
Then, there are many who behave as if prime Messi is around, without explicitly saying so
And if you have noticed anything about me in this forum, blind fanboyism is my red flag
There's a difference between constructive criticisms such as him walking in the pitch and not contributing enough defensively and disrespecting/hating a Barca legend such as "retired footballer, who does not even realise himself he is retired"
There's nothing wrong with constructive criticisms when used correctly.
I have typed down your first line of constructive criticism tons of times here.
Pique is also a Barca legend and many of us 'disrespect' (although I would object to the use of the word) him every day here.
What's the difference?

the hilarious thing is that the messi boi squad here will go to untold lengths to deny the obvious and abundantly clear fact that messi is more than well past it. ibrahimovic is being more impactful in a stronger league and hes 40, lol.
also hilarious how every day you prove my point that most of you arent actually barca fans, only messi fans who happened to support the team he played at. so much so that that absolute clown catalunitz is making posts hoping a PSG player scores like its his religious duty, lmao.
imagine simping this hard for a player thats not even part of our club
but NEVER his 5th CL which is far more indicative of achievement
copeeeeee
