The fact that Laporta said he will meet Messi at Ballond'or but Messi himself did not plan to show up despite invited or not clearly shows that they are not on speaking terms.

Any reports about Messi and Barca contract talks before World Cup, IMO, is just for attention.

For me, he won't come here as long as Laporta still president.

I actually want to see him at Man City so he can farm assists with Haaland. But Chelsea is his team. Don't think an EPL run will happen though. I also don't think he wants to uproot the boys again, so he'll either stay in Paris or move to Miami and play in MLS. Messi has property in Miami as well as family I think. And it's the most accommodating in terms of language, culture, as well as safety. And direct flights to Argentina are common there. Also, I think he wants to explore the United States too.
