The defence is the whole team anyway. From front players getting back into position or dropping to the midfield pressing or being in shape when needed.

After that treble MSN never really played in same way. Man things changed after 2015 including how MSN wanted and were willling to play.

We were scoring 110-120 a season in LL

In the 2015 CL we conceded 11 goals one of the worst for that season alone.

if we go by stats 2018 Defense was the best defense we had in recent history, with the most clean sheets and only 13 goals in the last 27 games!

Alves Pique Masche and Alba were a decent back four.

Regardless no one is claiming it is all down to back four anyway.

Barca were good defensively when at peak with MSN and it was down to whole team as always has to be.

Conceding 11 goals in 11 games in CL is not bad and as said one time conceded more than one goal was three away to Bayern when Lucho gambled and left MSN up the park to force an open game.

PSG conceed from set pieces and counters mostly. Most forwards don't track back on fast counters. Barca's mids rarely do..

In la liga, we are basically the only team to score against you so far, and in Europe, you conceded a good amount then as now.

La Liga wasn't the competition out defense was criticized for though.
Anyway, of course the attackers should help put in the modern game. But if they do manage to outscore the opponent, it doesn't really matter for PSG.
Doubt they manage.it against better sides.

Nah, CL isn't harder now. At least not this season. Many big names missing the KOs. Depends on the draw, but in the previous season they basically dominated Real for 3 halves, then they fucked up. Right now all 3 superstars are flying, didn't happen last season.

I'd wager the WC will probably have a bigger influence on their CL run.

Bayern, Real and City are the teams to beat.

Prime MSN was a lot stronger than the current PSG attack lmao.

We had one of the best defenses in the world in 2015, with an insane only 37 goals conceded across 60 games that season. That's prime Milan/Chelsea numbers on paper.
