Liverpool

He is worth every penny. He is 20 and has so much potential. I know it wouldn't happen but i would love United to spend £40+ Million on him.

Somebody try and name somebody who is his age who is even close to how good he is already?

You then put him in a team with players who are so much better than what he is currently playing with etc and then he is only going to get even better.

Depay went for £30 mill, sterling is younger, i would say better at this moment in time and done it in a much harder league and already is liverpools talisman. Yeah his finishing is poor and he can't carry liverpool all the way by himself but he has only just turnt 20?! He can improve so much more.

If city bring him in and also get de bruyne then i am quite frankly nervous about their front four with Aguero and silva.

A few months ago before he left liverpool fans where saying he was the best young player in europe and going mad about him, now he is average apparently. Hilarious.

I never said he was average I said he can't finish. For £50m we could get better finishers into the team (but we won't if/when we sign Benteke).

For me I've always held Ibe in higher regard in terms of all round potential ability. So tbh I won't lose any sleep losing Sterling. I will lose sleep replacing him with that big fat lump Benteke.

No i didn't mean you Ed! From reading RAWK etc

Ibe is a talent but buy his age Sterling has already been a first teamer for a year and had played in europe, then by the time he was 19 he was tearing teams to peices with suarez and sturridge. They are completely different level of talents in my opinion.

I think you'll be surprised by Ibe next season. I agree that Sterling currently is a level above but from what I know and hear is that Ibe has the higher ceiling. But of course its about realising that potential and not just having it.

However a finisher will always be a finisher and a non-finisher will always be a non-finisher. You can't coach that which is why strikers are the most expensive players around.

So take for example when your lot bought Rooney 11 years ago for what was it £30m odd. Yes you were buying the current ability and his potential ability however you knew he had that finishing ability no matter if he never reached the potential in other facets of his game.

Sterling is a different story. He is not a finisher and never will be. Of course I expect him to score 15 odd goals per season but not 30. Other parts of his game are of course very good and can counter the lack of finishing ability.

However for £50m I'd definitely sell because we lack finishers which we desperately need plus we can give his minutes to Lallana or Ibe or Markovic. Plus whoever his replacement will be.

Anyway if you get Firmino and with Depay in your team you don't need to worry with City and Sterling.

Ibe has a higher ceiling than Sterling? Where did you "hear" that? He's not in the same league. More of a Nathan Redmond type player.

Milner, Ings, Bogdán & Gomez are all good additions for basically nothing (something like £10m total transfer fees for all 4 players)...

now if they can add Clyne, Digne, Illarramendi, Kovačić & a proper, consistent goal scorer and it will have been a very good summer for Liverpool...

let's see what happens though...

Liverpool were in the top four in terms of chances created last season, they really just need a top striker or two IMO. I would look for a marquee signing and then chase someone young and PL proven like Berahino too.

Berahino is a shout actually he would score a lot of goals and suits liverpools philosophy. Question marks over his attitude though which seems to let him down sometimes.

Hell no do I want Berahino! He's a liability.

Really happy with the Gomez signing though. He's an up and coming english centre back with potential to be a top, top defender.

This idea that Berahino has a bad attitude is nonsense IMO. He got punched by one of his team mates so the media decided it must be all his fault. Don't think I've ever seen him be unprofessional on the pitch. He wouldn't be with the U21s if he was a dickhead, Southgate had no problem dropping Zaha and Morrison and never calling them up again, same with Wisdom.
