We won't sign all of those players and possibly none of them, seeing that we Benteke is obviously our No.1 choice. I've no idea why, but hey ho.

This will probably be our starting 11 in September.

-------------------------Mignolet--------------------

----Clyne------Skrtel-------------Sakho------Moreno-----

--------------------------Milner-----------------------------

----------Henderson--------------Coutinho------------------

------------------------Firmino-------------------------------

----------------Sturridge---------Benteke-------------------

With the the likes of Bogdan, Lovren, Toure, Gomez, Can, Allen, Ibe, Markovic, Lallana, Ings and Origi in the squad.

Really we are a better team than spurs and up until the last two games of the season we were comfortably ahead of them. But we imploded due to different circumstances (Gerrard farewell, Sterling etc).

So I do expect 5th place. Anything less than 5th is a complete and total failure. Anything above 5th is going to be a huge bonus - but I can't see it unless Brendan proves to me and a lot of supporters that we can compete in and win the big games - and with our first 10 fixtures he hasn't a lot of time to prove it.

I'd also like us to match and go one stage further in the cups than from last season.

But with the up of Firmino the rollcoaster goes down, down, down upon hearing we ultimately really want Benteke ahead of Bacca and Rondon. Fuck knows why though.

That team would concede so many goals.....

Yeah, no real holding midfielder. Even with the Milner signing the best midfield trio in my eyes would be Can, Henderson and Coutinho/Firmino.

Also not sure why Benteke isn't rated. He and Sturridge, if fit, would make a great duo upfront.

Liverpool should be looking at:

--------Mignolet-----------
Clyne--Sakho---Skrtel---Moreno
---------Can--------------
Milner----Henderson---
Firmino-------Coutinho
------Sturridge/New CF

That very 11 could morph from a 4-3-2-1 to a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3 in during a single game.

yeah i reckon we'll see Rodgers go with this starting 11 until Sturridge is back...

--------------Mignolet--------------
Clyne-----Skrtel----Sakho-----Moreno
----------------Can-----------------
-------Henderson----Milner-----------
---Firmino-----------------Coutinho---
--------------Benteke----------------

strong team IMO.

I hope they don't sign Benteke, he just doesn't fit with those guys behind him.

For me:

--------------Mignolet--------------
Clyne-----Skrtel----Sakho-----Moreno
----------------Can-----------------
-------Henderson----Kovacic-----------
---Firmino-----------------Coutinho---
--------------New ST----------------

I don't think Benteke fits well with their other attacking players, what worked for them was a Suarez type player, Coutinho had a blast playing alongside him, and so did Sterling and Sturridge.

Hence they should go all in for Lacazette, who admittedly is not exactly like Suarez but would be a good fit. Bacca was decent as well but not the age their transfer committee seems to go for.

Why do you dislike him so anyway?

Plus, he's not a has-been, so it's unlikely we'll go for him seriously.

Benteke might be the player that can get Liverpool into the top 4 again. They were very close at times last season, but wasted so many chances with Balotelli

I'm genuinely conflicted on Benteke. I just think we need a striker that will play to the strengths of Coutinho and Firmino and not the other way around. Perhaps he can do that, but I don't know.

However Brendan under the tutelage of Mourinho saw Drogba at his best and I feel he wants his own Drogba in our team - obviously Benteke is at a much lower level - but I think Brendan wants that type of forward. Because he was after Bony last year.

James Milner is Liverpool's new Number 7.

Yeah its a bit weird to see. However its a great attitude that he has if he willing to play with that burden on his back.
