Yes definitely you could at this present time I do not see you finishing above Arsenal, Chelsea and Man C. Do you? So for me its a very realistic possibility.

Still the Sturridge injury has fucked us up the ass. Big time.

we don't need to finish above them to be in the top 4, we only need to finish above liverpool and spurs...

United could easily miss out on the top four. It would only take some steady form from Liverpool and Spurs getting their shit together. It is funny how quickly United's ambitions have realigned now that Moyes is in control.

No way. Rooney and RVP will win them games. The big difference between this season and last season is RVP's injury. He'd win them many tight games. Moyes gets blamed for ManU playing like shit but they were also poor under SAF and individual brilliance bailed them out time and time again. I remember them getting outplayed by Southampton but RVP rescued them with 2 late goals. Last minute RVP winner against City. RVP embarrassing Vermaelen. Parking the bus at WHL and drawing. Red card and penalty saving them against Liverpool.

They are only 3 points behind Manchester City. With a fit RVP that difference wouldn't exist. Despite Kun and Negredo being on fire and ManU being relegation candidates apparently under Moyes.

Moyes' transfer market dealings however. :VdB: Looks like he thought he's at the biggest club in the world now so he can get anyone he wants. So he bid for Fabregas and realized only at the last day of the transfer market window that he has to settle for Fellaini.

A better record than I'd have expected.

On Christmas Day I'll be posting a sort of journal/written blog I wrote of our 2005 Journey to the CL triumph. I wrote it down in pen for another reason in 2006 when my memories were fresher.

Most of you won't bother to read it :D but I am going to post it anyway as a treat to the few LFC supporters on here and to others that want to read my story :D

It's not some sort of gabriel marcotti or sid lowe masterpiece so don't brace yourself for some excellent piece of literature as it isn't :D

Don't you think liverpool will develop a suarez dependency just like barca's messi dependency? I figure bigger teams will shut suarez or the supply to suarez and that will end up being your weakness .

In one way yes and in another way no.

Every football team is dependent on one or two players. For Barca its Messi for Real its Cronaldo for Man U its Rooney for Man C its Aguero and Kompany........basically I can go on.

So of course we will suffer when Suarez has a dip in form - and I suspect he will sooner or later like all players do. He is our tailsman and is the only player that can do things that no one on our team can do. We can't replicate that when he is out of form, injured or suspended. Of course we rely on him but just as much as other clubs rely on their best players.

But also in another way no. I say this because we look a really good all round unit at the moment. Coutinho, Henderson and others have been particularly impressive recently and then we have Gerrard and Sturridge to come back in. As we've seen in the first 5 games of the season albeit with 1-0 wins we can still compete.

What Brendan has done is implement the system and way of playing which much more fundamental than any player - including Suarez. So in that way with the current progress of others and the tactical system we have in place and the experience of the first 5 games shows that we can still compete.

Well Bayern are the only club I feel aren't reliant upon one player. However I do feel there that there is a player that will have a major major impact in whether you retain the CL or not.

SO IN MY OPINION!!!!!!!!

I think Javi Martinez is a key key player for you. I think his physicality in midfield mixed with his technical ability his defensive nous are huge assets for you.

I mean you tell me. What was the major difference between the 2012 and 2013 finals?

This season i would say Kroos is a must start, the midfield looks a little lost without him. When he is on its like the midfield presses harder and the passing is a lot more creative. Martinez and Schweinstiger are still find their place in Pep's system in my opinion.....

I honestly think Liverpool look a better side without Gerrard. His deliveries are fantastic, but he just can't cover the ground to recover defensively any more.
