The biggest change is how much these teams want the English players due so than reluctance to move.

Trent wont have grown up dreaming of playing for Real Madrid.. but he has won all can with Liverpool and can see why fancies the move once Bellingham got in his ear.,

Not really.

Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Pique, etc. won it all at Barca and some of them pretty early.
Yet, they didn't wanna move

It's the pull, first and foremost,
and, secondarily, that he thinks he can win Ballon D Or there (stupid rationale, but it plays a part)

There was no better place or bigger club to be at for any of them.

Real are bigger than Liverpool and after winning all can there it becomes a consideration.

He doesnt think he can win balondor. Just a dumb statement from him. He would be more likely to win it with Liverpool but he will get more trophies and personal awards most likely.

A right-back isn't gonna win the Ballon d'or (I don't care about individual awards, just saying). Though he's really a playmaker playing at right-back. He's a right-back in name only.

No full-back will ever win it. Unless I am overlooking someone it has never happened.

It's wrongly seen as a less important position on the pitch by a lot of people (it isn't, it is very important). Brazil has always loved its full-backs though.

BTW, Trent has been maybe the only (?) Pool player from the Klopp era that has been annoying-arrogant.
Day and night compared to figures like VVD Salah Firmino MAne, Mc Allister now, etc.

at Madrid, he will find the perfect environment to turn into a total cunt:
Vini, Tap-in Ham, Mbape, Rudiger, Courtois, etc.

Van Dijk and Salah have had their moments, but yeah, nowhere near as outright cuntish as Rudiger, Vini, Bellend etc.

Much more competition for names and untapped markets than a decade ago though.

Alot of the players who got signed in the initial Klopp era are now getting poached a year or two before being ready for Liverpool by the Brighton's, Bournemouths and Brentfords of this world.

Then you have an expanded City group network and Chelsea buying every 16 year old who looks a bit good.

Atleast United are still shite in scouting though.

Wi be interesting to see if and what EdCo can cook this time around. Atleast they start off with a Premier Slot in the bank.
