Stop being so pessimistic Heisenberg. I'm all for not taking things for granted but you take pessimism to a whole new level.

Even though Eibar is quite small, you know its gonna be roaring come saturday, should be an amazing atmosphere, lets pray the rain doesn't ruin things

The pitch will probably be as bad as when Atletico faced them

Probably the worst pitch I saw since my local football club's home ground.

OMG that pitch!

The pitch looks decent. Xavi will be pleased.

Lads relax they put in a new pitch

We have been weak for some matches now, time to mount up again. Eibar, city and real must be put down. Lets go.

OK I'm convinced, you do not watch Barça. You must be reading some media review of the game and looking at stats or something but there's no way you're watching us play otherwise you would not be saying something as stupid as "we've been weak for some matches now"...

Dude seriously wtf... your comment before lead to a string of posts being removed.

If you're looking to troll, you're not doing a very good job of it. It's getting beyond a joke now with this pessimism. Just stop.

I've never seen such discontent for Barça, never even thought it possible!

*Expected line up: Bravo; Montoya, Bartra, Mathieu, Adriano; Rakitic, Xavi, Rafinha; Pedro, Messi, Neymar

I discuss Barca, I bring a perspective. Dont mistake that for pessimism/trolling or doom or gloom. And by the way: I see every match and has done that for many years now.

Its stupid you say, thats fine. But I prefer facts, tell me: Did we have a long good period from january onwards, until lately, say city game?
We played pretty decent football for a while and certain players were in form.

Now we have had three/four average games with good results. Linetty claim that its due to conservation of energy, I say I hope so, but have my doubts.

Nothing particulary stupid here, rewatch the latest games and compare with the earlier period. I claim that we have been playing weaker. Lets see if its due to conservation of energy. Future will tell, In a way.

I dont consider myself to be a pessimist. I fear losing I admit, that might color some posts, but I would prefer realism. The best argument decides.

I'd say the only inexcusably poor game we had recently was against Malaga. But again, we started well there, but as soon as the own goal happened the team deflated completely, and it got worse as time went on in the match. That wasn't good enough from the team.

The game against Granada and last week against Rayo were both games that were played the way they were played because of spesific reasons. Granadas pitch was a potatofield, so the players skipped the midfield and opted for fewer passes and a very direct tactic. It wasn't pretty, but it worked. Who knows if we had gotten points there had we tried to pass our way up?

Against Rayo, we were basically playing at 30% power, and we won comfortably. After the first goal the game became a formality to finish. The same can be said for the Copa game against Villareal where Busquets got injured - after the first goal the team started conserving energy and took the foot of the gaspedal. Sure it invited Villareal in to score, but it was worth it - we won with hardly spending any energy, it was just a real shame with the injury.

Just wait and see the City and Madrid game. I'm sure they will be back to giving 100% like they did last time against City, and hopefully play as well as they did in the first half for the entire game and knock them out of the CL.

Be optimistic, we have all the reason to be so. :)

FC Barcelona name 18 for Eibar match

Luis Enrique is taking 18 players to Eibar. Everyone that is available, except goalkeeper Jordi Masip, will be making the trip. Among those who are unavailable are Jordi Alba and Dani Alves, who are serving one-game sanctions, and the injured Sergio Busquets and Thomas Vermaelen.

The complete list: Ter Stegen, Bravo, Montoya, Douglas, Adriano, Bartra, Piqué, Mascherano, Mathieu, Rakitic, Xavi, Sergi Roberto, Iniesta, Rafinha, Pedro, Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez.

Before the squad list was announced, the players trained on field two at the Ciutat Esportiva. No players from Barça B took part in what was the final session before Saturday's trip to Eibar for the 6.00pm CET match.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
So Montoya will make it. Good, hope he does well. I still think he can make it as a squad player here.

You don't discuss Barça or bring perspective. It is plain, straight up pessimism. Ask anyone here. It's getting tedious, there is no mistake. Don't make it out like I'm the only one saying it.

And by the way: I see every match and has done that for many years now.

It's not fact. It's opinion. Or in your case, pessimism.

I dont consider myself to be a pessimist. I fear losing I admit, that might color some posts, but I would prefer realism. The best argument decides.

You might not have come to the reality that you're a pessimist but 99% here believe you are.
If it is fear of losing as you say then that is obviously clouding your judgement and deluding yourself; again, people see you coming across as being pessimistic. I don't know how many times we've all had to say it, it's not just me, everyone is saying it.
Realism? Best argument? ...smh

Maybe we should have a poll and open your eyes. We trying speaking logically with common sense but you just deny it out right so what's the point in bothering with you?

Barça don't go ham every single match, they don't need to:

v Levante - comfortable & controlled, never looked like conceding. Result? 5-0
v Malaga - shock & freak mistake by Alves that lead on Juanmi to take on Bravo & go around him to score. We never recovered that mentality against a parked bus with poor crossing and flagged offsides. That was a set back but aside from dominating possession and controlling play, they simply could not break through a solid & tight back line.
v Granada - lol potatoes! Different game plan, may appear that it took you out of your comfort zone but was there any doubt? Result 3-1
v Rayo - absolute domination at 30-40% and unfortunate to not have scored more. Did we need to go all out? No. So why bother? Result 6-1

What is the problem? I fail to see how you can fear losing. How you can bang the drum of despair. Do you really know Barça? Do not delude yourself, it's not fact.

Done with you mate, there is honestly no point in debating logically with you as you're so stubborn.

"The first time someone calls you a horse you punch him on the nose, the second time someone calls you a horse you call him a jerk but the third time someone calls you a horse, well then perhaps it's time to go shopping for a saddle."

This game should be a comfortable victory. Do the little things right, keep possession, score a couple of goals to build a cushion through opening them up and we're laughing. The rest will flow & follow. I do not fear this Eibar team. It will be our own undoing that will cause an accident & slip up, keep composed & our heads and we'll be fine.
