Real madrid brought their A game for the first 55 minutes. they were really really good.

Superb pass from Alves for the goal and a beautiful finish from Suarez. That changed the remainder of the game. Yet again we didnt take our chances. Also cant believe messi passed to neymar instead of Suarez for the missed chance.

absolutely delighted. Pique and Mathieu with a beautiful game. Man City and Real Madrid in 5 days and 2 wins.

Celta Vigo away up next but i really cant take my eye off the sevilla away fixture.

So? If anything, we win those games despite his presence in midfield. The game was truly under our control only when Busquets (and Xavi) came on.

Messi struggled to get on ball in first half as he barely moved to get on it.

Real were pushing Marcelo on as much as possible to exploit it.

In second half Messi went looking for ball a bit more and got on it more centrally.

I am also saying the same thing just in a different way, it is not allow messi fault it is about how good madrid stopped messi without even attaching a constant partner. In the second half he moved more centrally and a moving messi is not a good thing for any team. He did not move much in the first half because he wanted to run at madrid when they are tired, i am guessing messi is also tired after city game and used the energy intelligently. Too bad the chances he created did not turn into goals.

We managed to play better after Suarez' incredible goal (by the way, you need star players exactly because of that). The first half was awful, even when we were passing we couldn't create positional superiority. There was always another Madrid player. After our 2nd goal Madrid disappeared literally, Busi came on when we were already managing the game! Within the last 10-15 minutes we should have closed the game with another goal!

Weird match..
We were really mediocre in the first half,we became better after Luis' goal,but we should have scored at least one more.

The midfield was non-existent until Busi and Xavi came in,which really proves that it will be really hard to obtain the CL.
Messi was isolated until the 70th minute.In other words he played quite well at the end,but it is proven that he can be neutralised even when he is on GOAT mode.Neymar was really horible at the first half.He improved at the second,but he was too selfish,which resulted in so many lost chances.

All in all,i believe that even though we ar 4 points ahead,it will be hard to take La Liga,as we have many difficult matches ahead,especially the away games.As for the CHL,i believe it is out of question.We will probably beat PSG,but Bayern will easily beat us.

Easy second half. If we hadn't played vs City on Wednesday, this could have ended 5-1. Clearly, we were the fatigued side in the first half, however this changed the other way round in the second because of Real's kamikadze pressing.

You can't beat Real Madrid 5-0 every time. Seems like that's the only time everyone has been happy after a Clasico here. Yes our team was bad in the first half but a lot of it was just brain farts. Easy passes not being completed and holding onto the ball too long. In my mind those are self inflicted and not because of the opponent which would be more worrying if Madrid were doing whatever they wanted and we had no answer.

In the 2nd half less mistakes were made and look what happened. Completely dominated after that Benzema chance at the 48th min. Real Madrid had no answer for us and that is why I'm happy with our team at the moment. When we are on our game nobody has an answer. I don't think Madrid could have played much better in the first half and barca weren't that far away from them while commuting all those silly mistakes.

When's the last time we put in 5 against Real? Even when we were bossing them around for like 10 matches in a row, we didn't get that far. Madrid's physical decline is unbelievable though, Ancelotti will have to manage that if he wants to proceed very far into the CL finals, especially when they face Atletico or Bayern.

Masch-Rakitic-Iniesta just doesn't cut it. Our first order of business should be to buy an elite CM. Rakitic just doesn't cut it against world class opposition.

Busquets-CM-Iniesta would look much better than what we had today.
