I kind of disagree, I honestly believe we are better than Madrid.
I think a fair way to judge this would have been if we faced Madrid without having to play City midweek.
Madrid had much more rest than our team did, yet we were able to keep them at bay (despite being extremely complacent) and gain momentum until we eventually dominated them in the second half. It was very obvious that key players like Messi, Rakitic and Masch were suffering from fatigue.
As a team, Barca are clearly superior and have a much higher drive than Madrid at the moment, imo.
You make some valid points there.
I would also add that in recent weeks/months, we have played countless of tough games and have won them all! Not even during the most glorious period of Pep did we have such results. On the other hand, Real Madrid has been gush since the beginning of the year and played less big games (and less games in general) and has lost much more than we did. So, it was only natural that they were more fresh than we were in the first half. By the 2nd half, Real Madrid started running out of gas and we took the reins of the game. Only some poor decision making by the MSN saved Real from a disastrous scoreline.
