Sure, it's a good thing. Would've been even better for Semedo to have played lately some competitive games. Man has played a single game vs a 3rd division side in the last 40 days. Going from rubbing the bench 5 games in a row to starting vs Atletico is not ideal for a player struggling with confidence as it is.

Top 3 performer in back to back games vs Valencia and Sevilla, then benched for a month with no sniff, then starts vs Atletico away. Chaotic player management Valverde style.
