There's a concept called squad this guy doesn't understand. He thinks a team is 11 players + 3 subs. His team is the first 11 + Coutinho, Paulinho, and Gomes. The rest play garbage minutes and only step in when a dude gets injured or suspended.

I just told you before the game he won't rest even the players that played in both games vs Spain and he didn't. Not even the guy who was showing discomfort. What are you talking about? Vermaelen is not some pub player. Played great vs Madrid away. Can handle Sevilla. Your logic doesn't add up. If Vermalene was good enough to play vs Madrid, he's good enough to give Pique a game off vs Sevilla ffs. That's what it's all about.

But the problem with Valverde is that Vermaelen wouldn't have played all those games, in which he more than proved he can step in at any time almost, if Umtiti wasn't injured. Valverde's squad rotation is shit. It's as obvious as him improving the defense. Everyone has good points and bad points. Squad management and youth development are his obvious weak points.

He's 33, same age as Cristiano who plays far more games than Iniesta does.

It's absolutely outrageous people having been saying this for a while now, you'd think he was in his late 30s.

Either his stamina is absolute shit or people just forget he's still in what should be his prime years, probably because he looks like an old codger.

While Cristiano is an incredibly good athlete who has had the ultimate body throughout his career with minimal injuries Iniesta is the opposite with a history of injuries and a body not near as strong. They are not comparable at all.

We have 11 points lead FFS. What good is it if you can't afford to rest some players before key CL games, especially older key players who played both games in the last week with Spain.
