Seems like the catalan club has found a new and easy way to make profit and finance his bigger transfers : get young player for "free" or small fees like Barry, Todibo, Mina and sell them after they have the Barça tag.

Hmmm, can't see this way with your examples.
Todibo was signed for 1st team, he will leave after full year with it, and only with loan. There is a clear believe he can make it here.
Mina? We scouted him since he was in Colombia and once he got in Brazil we got our option for him. 12M for him wasn't "free"by any mean. If it wasn't for great WC he might have ended up as new Douglas.
The article about Barry disagrees with you,he has arrived to play with Valdes, before he gets his paperwork sorted Valdes left, new coach didn't like him at all and he was stuck and wanted to leave. Happened everywhere in football.
I think the strategy is to get young talent and hope they will explode, with the idea that they are low risk and if failed to make it here we might still get something from them.
The money we get from those players usually cover the expenses of Barca B, not 1st team.

Aston Villa have signed the 16-year-old striker Louie Barry from Barcelona less than six months after he joined the Spanish champions.

Barry joined Barça from West Brom in July after reportedly having a medical with Paris Saint-Germain. The England youth international made only 10 appearances for Barça’s youth teams after his registration was delayed, with West Brom understood to have never received £235,000 in compensation despite the club reporting the matter to Fifa.

Announcing Barry’s signing for a fee believed to be around £900,000, the Villa academy manager, Mark Harrison, said: “It sends a powerful message about the ambition of this club. We’re delighted – Louie is a local person and his family are all Villa fans, as is Louie.

Considering all the shit we went through to get him, with WBA even suing us (or at least threaten to), to sell this kid after just 6 months...it describes this Board in a nutshell. Confusion all around, no planning, no leadership, no taking responsibility, nothing.

He struggled to settle in and then wanted to leave. Not much you can do about it.

He looked decent when I saw him. But alas, if he wants to leave then best to go back to England. Perhaps if he reaches his potential we can look at signing him in the future- or Madrid will.
