Lucas Lima

If Alena is good enough he will play in front of these players. Busquets dispatched prime Yaya Toure. If Alena is half as good he will be able to play in front of Lucas Lima. But if he plays like shit, we have Lime who could do a better job off the bench.

If Busquets had Lucho as first team coach Yaya would have never been displaced and most of us would have probably been happy with that. The coach plays a major role in if a younger player's quality is a factor in them making it to the first team.

Your just speaking shite as usual it seems.

Alena if good enough will get chances regardless as it is a weak bunch to get in front of.

The only thing shite around here is your grammar. Gotta love ad hominem, so unneeded but damn does it make a good argument

I hope Alena gets his chances but it's really up in the air if Valverde will actually do that. I don't see why this no-name player from Brazil is needed when we have young midfielders just as likely to contribute as he is while being much younger.

Whether they made the decision to sign him or not they either have to be stupid or corrupt to be on the sporting side of the club and not know about the 'shady deal'. Makes no difference.

If they were against it and knew it was corrupt have to assume they are still keeping quiet about it. Dont believe they would.

They do have to be corrupt or stupid and Zubi spoke about the transfer and all the scouting reports etc anyway.

Maybe they are keeping quiet because they don't want to hurt barca image even more. Enough with conspiracy theory discussions Douglas transfer was a stupid one with or without illegal stuff. Same for Lima one, makes no sense to sign him. Our brazil connections got us Ronnie and Neymar but did so much damage too. Stupid signings and unnecessary controversies.

Not as easy as that.

Otherwise Coutinho would have never left Inter. Neither would Pogba in Man Utd, or Grimaldo recently at Barca when Alba was injured or suspended and a semi-injured and average Adriano kept starting even against weaker opposition.

Based on the way Lucho managed the team in his time here it's a good guess. I never understand why people bother bringing up Busquets in the first place as his emergence can be put almost entirely on Pep discovering his talent as he was never a major talent coming up from the academy from what I can remember.

Dont give a fuck about my grammar as long as point gets made and point is as usual you are spouting drivel.

Mathieu staring ahead of Alba and Digne hurt the most. I don't even know what lucho was thinking. He made lot of good decision but that last season he fucked up with things like this. Hope valverde is gives chances to player who are performing better rather than sticking to favourites.

If they are worried about Barca image it would be best thing to get rid of those carrying out corrupt transfers.

Douglas was a stupid transfers, wouldnt think on same level as Lima who has been linked with big moves in recent years, been involved with Brazil etc.

Yeah, this stuff about 'If he's good enough he'll play and get his chances' is drivel IMO.

It depends a lot on the coach too. Porto could have lost Ricardo Pereira too because their coach didn't rate him back then and now he's probably their starting RB and potentially a starting RB for a better team.

See, the coach matters.

Not drivel at all, you're just way too easy to unnerve. Half the time we're arguing on the same side but you just don't acknowledge it

Can you give even one reason why we should bring this guy in instead of giving Alena a solid first team chance? This "He will get a chance if..." stuff doesn't line up with reality, it's up to the manager to recognize and cultivate talent and in cases like Lucho that's more likely to not happen.

Not unnerved.. Just cant be arsed with some shite angle from you in this debate.

I dont know enough about Lima to know his level in the team but dont think it excludes Alena getting minutes if he is good enough. If Lima is as average as made out and the other midfielders at the club there will be opportunities there.

Okay i will wait until he gets transfer or if he gets transferred. I don't think he will play at all, but sure if he can help why not. But i doubt it, we luckily got rid of Douglas fast. Hope if lima doesn't perform he will also be shipped off fast. Don't want another player who stays here until his end of contract and staying on loan where we pay the majority of wages and all other nonsense like that.

Coaches like Pep only gave chances to the players he felt were good enough and none of them were regulars by Alenas age.

Saying he'll get a 5 year contract with a salary of 4m per year + a sign on bonus consisting of 5m euro in 5 years(1m every year for the duration of the contract).

Basically a salary of 5m per year.

Do people think this is a good deal too? Again, he might turn out to be a very decent backup, but paying this kind of money for a player whose level dropped significantly the last couple of years, is 27/28 and has never played out of Brazil, is a lot.

That's not even counting the agent fee Neymar Sr. will get.

I get that some people like to see everything in a good light, but surely you cannot look away everything and agree this might be OTT?

This is btw the most unbiased account you can get on Brazilian football, a proper professional and not a random Twitter account and even he think it's a bit odd this transfer:
