Shaqiri is a very good player and all but something about him does not convince me. Though everytime I have seen him play, he has been nothing short of fantastic.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has claimed that Paris St Germain have offered Sao Paulo €45 million for in-demand midfielder Lucas Moura, a fee he believes is "completely illogical".

Lucas, 19, is one of football's hottest properties at present, with the Nerazzurri, Manchester United and PSG among those clubs interested in swooping for him.

But while United had appeared to be in the driving seat to secure a €30 million move, Moratti believes the Red Devils will be trumped by PSG - who are prepared to splash out an extra €15 million to land the Brazil international.

And the Nerazzurri chief says Inter are now definitely out of the running to sign Lucas because they are unable to compete with the financial might of the Qatari-backed Parisiens.

"We would never have gone up to that sum," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia. "In any case, there are no regrets that we didn't finish off the move, as the cost was already pretty high a few days ago.

"The €45 million that PSG offered is completely illogical and for us it would have been very out of key with our approach.

"PSG are starting a new era, so they are completely reconstructing the squad. At least I can relish the fact I'm saving money."

Not a fan of the Brazil NT. Nor am i familiar with their young prospects. Is this lad really THAT good, seeing man utd (from reports) are ready to pay €30 million for a player uproven in Europe whilst their offer for Thiago last season was only €16 million.

He is worth the hype, let us put it this way. Won't be world class until 4 years from now but I imagine he'd be a beast and a half when he hits his prime. Needs a lot of coaching though because he is high tempo.

Brazilian media reporting someone from his staff confirmed there's a verbal agreement with psg, for 40 mi euros. He's not worth all that. And he might prove me wrong, but I don't think he'll be that good.

If you have 40 million feathers on your back, you are bound to succumb to the pressure, what do you think 40 million euros would feel like?

If Lucas went on stage with Michel Tello his price would be bumped up another 5 million.

Manchester United also payed € 30 million for Anderson so that doesn't say much. Lucas is basically the Brazilian Walcott. Lots of speed and tunnel vision dribbling.
