Hopefully the two big defeats to PSG and Real are learning tools for Lucho. He needs to tweak the team for those games as clearly our midfield is lost and defense too short with Masche at the back.

Simple solution play Masche in DM and sit Busi.. Easiest cleanest move he can do and I think it will improve the midfield getting overrun as Masche covers a lot of ground.

Pep lost 2 times against Real last season.

Pep lost his first game as Barca manager.

Pep lost vs Chelsea

Pep lost vs Inter

And you prefer him over Lucho who has to build a new Barca and lost vs two great teams? This double morale is so annoying. Give Lucho some time, a key player has only played 1 game after a 4-month ban.

Pep knew what to do when the default tactics weren't working. Lucho doesn't. That's the fundamental difference between the two and that's why Lucho will never achieve any of the success that Pep has, unless he learns to adapt to the situation on the field.

It's usual after a defeat. Lucho is a young coach, some things are worrying, but we have to wait and see.

Okay, so let me start by saying: yes, we were bad, we were really bad, disastrous even in the second half, but people are still exaggerating. When I read things like "we're aiming for the CL spots now" or "we can't win anything untl 2016" I have to laugh. This team is still one of the top 3 teams in the world, just not better than the other ones. Sometimes we lose, sometimes we win, and since we're not dominant anymore a lot depends on form and luck, and if we'd scored the 2-0 we would've won.

But to return to the bad things, what is most striking about this team is that it looks exactly like Tito's and Tata's Barça against the big teams. I can't believe how 3 managers in a row can't figure out to fix our tactical issues; I could understand if it was just because of poor individual performances but it goes beyond that. There's literally no movement whatsoever from our players, even when we were 3-1 down we never looked dangerous, and our team is incredibly slow on the attack. Mostly the opposition players can just walk back and still have 11 players behind the ball before we do anything.

Not even touching on the individual performances, we've known some players' deficiencies for quite some time now. We've always known Mascherano is small for a CB, we've always known Alves follows up a great performance by a terrible one (even during a game as we saw) and never tracks back, and we've always known Piqué is prone to stupid errors, so we shouldn't be surprised about that.

I have always supported Lucho up until now because he looks like a coach who knows what he wants and what he's doing, but I'm slowly losing confidence. I hope he sees what we did wrong today and finally changes things. Just like last year there was talk of us regaining our pressing, and it has gone again. Really weird that we're playing the same way for the third year in a row, with the exactly same, obvious deficiencies, and no one seems to know how to change it.

They played like zombies when we were chasing the game. No movement, no pressing, nothing.

Got schooled.

Better early than late. Pick it up.

To be fair however this madrid is deadly. Definitely not flawless tho

The pressing thing is now down to the players, obviously they were told at the start of the season to do it but stopped trying after a couple months each time. Tata experinced the same problem.

Lucho as a tactician has offered nothing. Stop with Pep's stats. After 5 matches we knew, we were into something. EVerything looked different even the little details. Read again, even the most minor details were different. Lucho has made some drastic decisions. I agree he needs time but Barca can't afford much.

"Barca needs time" - we are saying this for last 3 seasons. And today's display was the by far the ugliest against Real Madrid in recent years. Many things are wrong. Many many things and I am not optimistic. You need time but you still need to perform in a match like Clasico.

Barca coach's job profile requires that as top most criteria.

Terrible transfers (Rakitic and Mathieu), Terrible line up starting Busquets, Benching Alba, Starting that old chain smoker as LB. . . . Terrible substitution. A nightmare of a coach this guy is.

Individuals are not our problem. Rakitić is not as good as Modrić with playmaking, but Kroos is not that better if any than Rakitić yet he looks good.
If our entire game plyne will remain individual class - yes, then Rakitić won't drible past 4 and score rabona, but I belive our team individualy is still up there, maybe the best...our game is flawed.

Christ I wish people would stop using Pep as the measuring stick for success at Barca.

It's the same shit for 3 seasons now.

It's like comparing every girl you date two that of your ex and never being satisfied.

Move on.

You are killing it today... Difference is, Lucho won't get blamed like Tata...

Pep is our measuring stick when our current coach is trying desperately to be like him...

Agree in principle here ,there shouldn't be a final judgment on him after such game ,but he is clearly showing many things to worry about
BTW I won't say we are top 3 teams in the world atm, think RM/Bayern/Chelsea all ahead of us currently
This team needs refreshment and we needed it probably more than we did in summer ,but we have a long season with this group to prove themselves again after trophyless season last year ,praying for happy ending in 2015

Ancelotti lost 2 Clasicos and 1 match against Atletico in his first season. Yet he is the one who celebrated the CL, the CdR and today's win.
