Luis Enrique: "Playing with Busquets-Mascherano? I've never before played with two defensive midfielders and I'm not considering it for now"

Luis Enrique: "You won't lie. Some of you (press) should get to know that commandment..."

Luis Enrique: "Del Bosque calling more players from Barça than from Madrid? Guess that means we're maybe not that bad after all..."

Luis Enrique: "I have a lot of confidence in Douglas."

Another presser I didn't like. He seems already out of patience, even more uncomfortable that Tata was. He didn't want to talk about Pique, Verm, anything.

LOOOOOOOOLLL!!!

Wow, this job has become a poisoned chalice. Pep has set the benchmark SOOOOO high and the board hires a guy like Lucho. The pressure was always high at Barca but it has become even tougher given our recent success. We need a big name manager with lots of experience and quality. Lucho has neither the experience nor the quality.

As Barca manager you want the press on your side not against you. The results and performances haven't been great and maybe Lucho should show a little humility and paitience.

He's no Mourinho. Mourinho is a master motivator and expert at parking the bus. Lucho is clueless when it comes to tactics.

Not considering playing Masch & Busquets together??? I am fucking totally speechless, Not only does this show his lack of tactical flexibility but he's already shown he's married to a certain ideology and wont change.
Now look at Ancelotti. He lost Alonso and Di Maria (2 crucial players) but has still found a way to make RM tick. He had a tough time at first but adjusted the players and found a winning combination.

Lucho is going to be found out before Christmas. If he lasts the season he will throw a hissy fit and blame everyone else besides himself.

I loved him as a player but temperament wise he is not suited for this job.

LOL as if a coach is going to tell the press what he's considering doing in terms of tactics. Screw the press.

He's gonna get eaten alive by the Catalan press if he continues to fail. If the board doesn't sack him, the press will.

Isn't board 100% behind him?

That's why I expect him to be honest and speak out like things are so the prima donnas will know they either have to step up or leave.

Well I for one am prepared to give Lucho a chance, chopping and changing coaches isn't the way forward, as for the press you can't control the shit they write so I wouldn't loose any sleep about it. I don'tread what they say as it is irrelevant.

Yeah, but the thing is: He is "losing sleep" over press. His comments after defeats were a dead giver.
After losing a match he immediately switches to victim mode (ex. "let the hunting season begin", etc.). I thought his photo reply to Madrid press was funny but now that I think about it.. He actually took time and planned something in order to reply to provocations. Everything seems to get to him.

He was always like this with the press. I think it's to create a siege mentality with the players but apart from Suarez they don't seem to give a shit about that kind of thing.

Y is it at this club the fans will not give the manger time to fully impliment his ideas. Since pep left they have had tito(rip) roura, tata martino and now lucho all coming in with there different ideas. The team needs time to.settle intonnew ways of playing. If we jump.the gun to quick an sack lucho we are going to have another manager in with different ideas and wer back to square 1 all over again. Even if we had to go a season without trophys and stick with lucho and a team familiar with how he wants them.to play id be happy enough

There's a pretty standard way about how things develop when you go to a huge club (Real, Barca, Manchester United, Bayern, Milan - not right now, but still).

1. Excitement
2. Great plans
3. First signs of trouble
4. Heat from the press, fans, own board etc.
5. Reaction when under pressure
6. Failure or glory, depending on their personality, experience and knowledge.

Many great managers reached point no. 4, and found themselves under pressure during the course of a season. It's what you do when the pressure comes that makes you a great manager, or a poor one.

Ancelotti himself had some bad press and pressure from the fans after the poor start of the season, with 1 win in the first 3 games (2 at home). But he showed his class, fixed the things that weren't going his way, and now he's hailed as probably the best in the world at what he does. That's a great manager right there.

Lucho? He looks frightened to me, scared by failure to the point of not thinking clearly. His pressers are all bravado, taking things lightly and having (blind) faith that success will come by itself.

There are 3-4-5 teams in the world that have the same talent in the squad. Bayern, Madrid, Chelsea and us. Maybe Atletico too. The difference will be made by the managers, and how those managers inspire their players.

But we haven't seen clear plan. Every week we see new starting eleven. Just like Moyes who tried different players every week. He had whole preseason to figure out who is who and what is what.
Tata failed but he came with new ideas. Remember we were most successful counter attacking team in Europe. Remember he didn't have Messi to bail him out.
If LE would show anything I'd agree he needs time but atm he is still testing the ground. Rakitic was MOTM in the Europa League and now he babysits Alves cause manager doesn't know where to play him, same with Suarez.
LE is here to copy Pep. It's not going to work.

The writing is on the wall-pity some people cant see it.

Unless some thing miraculous happens Lucho is ALREADY a dead man walking. This is such a parallel to Man U last season its not funny. Lucho is in the same class as Moyes. A decent mid-table manager but nothing else. The pressure got to Tata in Jan-its only November and Lucho is already buckling.

Lucho always says he wants the team to be unpredicatble. I think he means the starting 11 for each match. Too many rotations... and yet, some players get no rest, like Mascherano.
Players won't gel like this. Benching Suarez and Neymar today... I'm starting to miss Tata

Tata wasn't even that bad. If only he didn't keep playing Alves and that stupid crossing tactic. Apart from that his tactics were decent. He was also a poor motivator though.

Lucho is supposed to be a good motivator but its not really doing anything. The players are pissed off by him and don't respect him. His tactics are awful.

I said it before our losing streak, he is hardheaded, no experience, incompetent fool. Its like he won everything so he is like "Trust me I got this". No you dont, idiot. We are 4th and just started to gel with Suarez but nop...we need to rotate. Holy fuck he is fucking clueless.
