So you guys think if he changes player positions a few yards here and there Iniesta and Busquets will suddenly turn from misplacing the easiest passes to dominant midfield GOATs? Iniesta got the ball in LCM under no pressure, tried to pass it to Neymar on the left and it ended up at Thiago Silva's feet. A simple 10 yard pass under no pressure, not even a long diagonal or throughball. The less said about Busquets these days the better. If the players don't perform they don't perform.

The players were fighting, running and pressing well and the only 3 world class players in the squad all delivered. Can't ask for more. Defense and midfield is not good enough to dominate and reduce chances to a minimum at the highest level anymore. Deal with it.

I was just about to post that on Messi's thread because I was so disheartened to see Barca once again being so Messi-dependent, only this time its in building up play. It's so sad that I still consider Xavi to be the best Barca midfielder, despite him having declined so much physically.

I don't feel confident about his work, at all. It's december, and we're far from looking like a team, with gameplans and being cohesive. During games we look chaotic, the defense is not really improving, nor is the midfield. Let's see if things get better in the 2nd half of the season.

Have you been watching Barca's midfield players though? They really are not that good anymore. Iniesta, Busquets, Rakitic none of them seem to have the incisiveness needed to win the best games.

I'm not entirely sure if it's just Enrique's tactics. They can be a contributing factor but some of the mistakes/drops in performance are just so...basic. Can't explain those. Iniesta and Busquets haven't been at their best for 2 seasons now while Rakitic is looking like the 20 million buy he is.

Time to start playing Rafinha and Masch at DM on regular basis.

Rafinha is not a DM at all. He gives away the ball far too much and is too much of an individual.

He will be lucky to be at Barca in 2/3 years time. By far the most over rated player on this forum in my opinion.

Oh, I know. Lucho was also in charge of signings, didn't want kroos, etc. Should had tried Rakitic instead of Iniesta, imo. Or even instead of Busquets.

I can somewhat get that it's a bit difficult to construct decent midfield, but fucking defense should already be rock solid. Why after RM he's still experimenting with Mathieu? Why not giving more chance to Bartra? At least we got some potential in defense.
About frikin midfield...hurts like hell seeing our midfield being dominated by every stronger team...w/o it, NMS potential is drastically reduced. Seeing Messi doing their job is just sad. Lucky for us that Xavi decided to stay this season, otherwise we would be crippled in that segment.
So he wants diversity....Lucho we don't have firepower for that atm. We need well established starting 11, find our game, not to rely all the time on individual brilliance...that alone won't bring us titles.

I didnt mean to play Rafinha at DM.

Masch at DM, Rafinha at AM.

Iniesta basically doesnt have any competition, this is really unhealthy for both parties. He lost it after winning all the shit there is to win. Probably same could be said bout Busquets. Xavi is different though.

So, who's to blame in an event Lucho gets fired and we're left without RB next season?
You just don't shoot yourself in the foot like that.

This guy is a ticking time bomb. The one main problem he has, his stubbornness, is getting worse by the day. The sooner we get rid of him, the better. Also, how he handled the Montoya situation is a disgrace and unforgivable. I'll be counting the days until this cretin leaves.

OK, but who would you pick as a coach?

I only think of two coaches that has the level you seek:

- Carlo.
- Pep.

And both are unlikely.

I think people should understand that after a legend like Pep, 99% of coaches would feel like a regression here.

Bielsa? Too, too, too crazy, especially for an elite team like Barca. Especially for a team like Barcelona.
