We were in and around the box all game, when the ball is 10 feet from the goalie I'll gladly call that a chance, where today Messi and Suarez and Iniesta were dispossessed or fired a shot right into a defender or crossed the ball to nobody (last one was more Alba, but regardless), on another day they would have dribbled in or found a combination past them or scored from that long range shot. And sure, you can say that that makes us "rely on individual brilliance", but how exactly do you expect players to pass their way through 10 men worth of defenders? It's ridiculously difficult even for players that are playing well, and today nobody really did.

Pep tends to rotate his squad too, and that doesn't stop them.

This is not really a problem imo.

You can rotate squad as long as any setup knows what to do.

Today it seemed the midfield had no clue.

It definitely is a problem if you are tactically inept like Lucho is. Pep doesn't have that problem.

He's an amateur coach and isn't a footballing genius like Pep, he needs to build something before acting like an expert. No midfield player out there knows what they are doing.

I haven't seen a convincing performance from the team yet. have you? Against psg we were lucky too. I'm not seeing any improvements on the team, as a whole. Sloppy passing is on him, he is the coach. He trains them. Our squad might not be the best, but we should be doing better by now. At least playing with some consistency.
Considering players we have on our disposal in attack we are pure, pure garbage. As for midfield...HE is manager. HE had to strenghten our squad as he was given big budget and all time in the world yet he bought Rakitic (I'm from CRO, he is NOT Barca quality), Mathieu and Douglas. His mentality is small club and there is no escaping it. I'm sure he is a top top FM player though...

Spot on! Lucho is behaving like he's already a proven winner. But he is not and will never be.

A clueless, stubborn wannabe

Sorry mate but when you are also Arsenal supporter no body will take you seriously on this matter. Arsenal is EPTIOME of small club with big fan base. No guts, no glory.

You might move on when you get rid of that pedophile of manager...

Luis Enrique: "I'm not unhappy with how the team played. We used the same system as we always do. We created many chances today."

Yeah same system that has no midfield.

Please be happy with you work, Lucho.

If your best argument is that "oh your opinion is wrong because you're an Arsenal fan"... Then I'm not exactly convinced
No. My argument is this. We are Barcelona. A club that has just spend 100+ million euros to STRENGTHEN a team where players like Messi, Neymar, Iniesta, Masch, Bus etc. play.

Lucho made wrong decisions in buying mid table players like Rakitic, Douglas and Mathieu, instead of proven quality like Kroos and Benatia. Although that isn't only reason why we are shit, by that action you can see with what kind of idiot you are dealing with. You get bag full of money, and you buy shit.

But, his tactical decisions, his rotations and his ineptness to lead a big club are shown right here. He just said Getafe is a strong team. Do you know how much is worth this Barca team? 600mil euros. You DONT say they are strong team and that we created much when Real is fucking steamrolling through the league. Thats why I said...When you are Arsenal fan, who supported another clueless manager like Wenger starts to talk about giving time and such, no body will take you seriously. For a club that biggest achievement is loosing CL final and winning FA cup waiting might still be an option, but when you are used to success and when you attract the best players in the world waiting is not an option.

Tactically I don't see what to blame. Was a typical Barca performance away from home against 10 men behind the ball 3 days after a difficult CL game. Put a lot of pressure and lacked the sharpness in the final meters to create clear cut chances against a defensive wall. lol @ people going batshit crazy. You better get USED to this, juggernaut Barca is gone and even Pep lost in this stadium in his last season.

Here's hoping Lucho gets sacked next summer but the transfer ban remains. I will have lots of luls seeing the reactions on this forum and Twitter when de Boer, Koeman, Laudrup or whoever coaches the same squad which will age yet another year. I'm sure they will rule the world.

I agree completely with the transfer window being bad, first of all. But I think with Lucho's squad, he can't do much better than he has already. He's rotating because he's trying to find a system that gets the best of our players, since, you know, they're not playing at their peak. Should he maybe stick with a formation/lineup for a few games? Maybe, but we don't see the training sessions, so we don't know what he sees. Our squad is very mediocre, with Messi, Neymar, our GKs, and maybe Pique the only players playing at a proper level. Suarez's game has dramatically decreased from last season, Iniesta hasn't recovered from injury yet, Busquets is in mediocre form, Alba can play better... There's only so much a coach can do, players need to realize that they need to improve their game. As for him saying Getafe is a strong team, what was he supposed to say, "oh yeah getafe suck my tactics are such crap"? He played practically the best lineup possible, his only logical sub was Munir, who he put in... The midfield didn't create anything because they're all not in great form, and so couldn't pick their way through ten defenders. Real are steamrolling through the league because Ancelotti found a system that works for him, in his second season, and all of their players are playing well. Last season it was Real who were sucking in the league and losing to random teams and Ancelotti experimenting with his lineup, it takes time for a coach to get their team playing well, especially given how ingrained our style and philosophy is.

As for me being an Arsenal fan, the vast majority of Arsenal fans want Wenger out the instant we lose a handful of games, I put faith in him not because I'm an Arsenal fan but because I generally put faith in managers, and I tend to be right, Ancelotti took a season to get Real going, Mourinho took a season to get Chelsea really going, Van Gaal hasn't been that much better than Moyes (he has been better, but the squad is also a whole lot better)... Managers don't have nearly as much to do with the team's success as people seem to think, a big part of it is the players and when they don't play particularly well you get games like today's.

For a club that biggest achievement is loosing CL final and winning FA cup

There was the whole Invincibles thing, but whatever
