No offence Bertus, but, all things considered, Marseille is the biggest club in France.
In terms of trophies, yes, but right now, no.

They have no money. Big debts, and all their players are average, bad, or just young.

But Bielsa is doing marvelous despite that.

It was a marvel to see this team improving every weeks just because he's an awesome manager. Yeah that's something you can see by watching their games.

No point in sacking him now. What good manager would want to take charge of a team mid-season that is unable to sign players for a year and a half?

Cignac is pretty good. So is Thauvin. Mandanda is good also.

Gignac is average. Thauvin has skills but he tends to play alone and he has no mental in important situation as shown again last night when he missed his penalty.

Mandada was horrible last 3 seasons with big, big mistakes that ended up in humorous TV shows here in France. It's only this season under Bielsa that he went back to a the good level he had a few years ago.

You don't watch much from the french league it seems >.<

Are you joking Flavia? This team needs a coach that will come with a bang. Someone we know is the real deal from day one. Someone in the profile of Mourinho, Pep, Simeone, Ancelotti, maybe Klopp. World class, multi-title winners.

Yes, I was joking. Because I'd rather we had anyone but Bielsa. Only if you want yet another season wasted, and players alienated.

I don't believe that.

And Bielsa is better than how he was in the past.

So far in France, he didn't do anything wrong, even when Marseille's board clearly 100% lied to him. He said they were liars and that's all. He doesn't even get angry or anything.

What I see is that with players that are close to amateurs skill wise, he's doing great.

I fully believe he reached a stage to be able to manage a big club.

He's wiser, even if people like to think he's still a complete fool.

Well, I know people like super serious Coaches, but Bielsa just sent an sms to Amlalfitano saying something like "Don't ever come back to training. I don't want you even if I never met you. Can't fire you, but it's as if you are. Ciao byebye GG". So yeah now he complains that said player is furious to be treated worse than a dog.

Bielsa is a prick. I would not like a coach like him here. Even Vahid Halihodzic doesn't act like that.

They're good players for Ligue 1. I'm not an expert in french football or anything, but Mandanda is a good keeper, Cignac is strong and in good relations with the ball, and Thauvin is an interesting player as well. It's not like Bielsa took Evian or Reims. He took Marseille. Marseille was one of the best 4-5 teams in France in the last 10 years or so. They even won the title in 2009 or 2010.

I was wrong. And I admit it.

I thought he went too far but he proved Amalfitano had a bad influence in the dressing room.

Despite being quite a name there, he forced him out. And he was right, and I was wrong.

Case closed. Contrary to some people here, I have no problem to admit when I'm wrong.

Klopp is the only one out of those that is any combination of realistic and desirable.

Not gonna write again what I wrote above.

Gignac and Mandanda were horrible last two seasons. Gignac lost his slot in national team because of that and only now under Bielsa he got a chance to come back.

Gignac had weight problems till Bielsa arrives because in France, it's extremely difficult to train players because usually they reject any coach that forces them to train a lot. Under Bielsa he trained from morning to night and he lost a lot of weight.

Mandanda had mental problems. He lost confidence and played average for 2 seasons. When Bielsa arrived, he fired the GK coach and took Mandanda under his wing and trained his mental.

As for Thauvin, as I said, he doesn't play in team and tends to fail in big games every times.

BTW. it's not only me saying that but all the french medias.

Also, Marseille scored a marvelous 0 in CL last season. Humiliating because they were horrible.

Bielsa did a lot, even if people refuse to believe it. As I said, it's sad that many people that comment over the french league usually know little or close to nothing about it.

They have no choice. Loss against A.Madrid and he's a goner, imo. Players already feel alienated from him, according to credible sources.
