Why insist on playing a certain system when he doesn't have the right players for it? A switch to a 2 man upfront is an idea he should at least try now.
Lucho really couldn't do much. Suarez missed 2 sitters, and we hit post 4 times. Defense is a problem but he had little option but to play Mathieu as cb as Masch was needed in midfield due to all those injuries.

And if that didn't work people would say: "Who on earth tries a new system away against Sevilla." You could criticize a lot at the moment but lineups? He's struggling to put together a fit team at the moment.

This wasn't his 1st game without Messi. He could have already tried it. And also benched matheiu, he's in horrible form right now. Starting Munir or Sandro isn't really working. Both seem to do better as subs.

Trying to play completely new formation with the players who never played that formation? Do that in the away game with Sevilla? New playing tactics takes long time to develop and you can't just switch to that in couple of weeks. I can't imagine Barca caliber coach who is adventurous/desperate enough to do that. After all we did lose because Mathieu lost his concentration, our forwards hit the woodwork 4 frigging time(when last time you saw the ball bouncing from the back of the goalie and rolling straight on the goal line). In any formation you could have someone doing mistakes or players missing sitters. It is obvious that our team is not trying hard enough,also consider preseason and Copa America that wasn't easy, insane ratio of injured players in first 3 months. Best thing Lucho can do is concentrate on physical form of the players and put a pressure on club management for some serious shopping in January.

Rakitic and Roberto could do that. He has to find a solution to Messi's absence, and it's not munir or sandro.
What is that supposed to mean. You want Lucho to make a statement to media that he screwed up. And that's going to make things better?

It's an idea to consider at a time when the squad is thin and there is not enough quality available to play the good old system as effective as before. It's a suggestion for this time being when neither the results nor the performances are convincing. Lucho can play the same way over and over again until maybe the team raise their game. Or he at least tries a new system for now and see if that proves to be more effective than this.
