It's very similar to how we operated under Pep actually.

Previously, when Messi dropped back, the wide forwards (Henry & Etoo, Villa & Pedro) would move central in front of him to occupy the centerbacks. This is what has been lacking in the last two seasons where the wingers would stick to the wings and stay wide. And especially baffling was Tata's decision to make 5' 7" Messi the center forward.
