Its one thing when certain individuals play bad, but when most of the players play bad , I certainly have to blame the coach.

I don't want him out at all. I want him to learn and do better. We need more time before we can fully examine his record and playing style.

But it was always worrying for me that we hired a manager who failed at Roma.

I haven't seen tactical variations from Lucho, and that's worrying. Sandro for Alves at the ending was more desperation... he has a lot of work to do. I might be premature, but don't think we'll challenge for the ucl this season. Winning la liga should be the goal.

1) Tactical variations ? not possible, we do not have the players (too similar players) to propose tactical variations. Suarez maybe will help us, but certainly he won't solve all problems
2) Spending 154 millions for winning la liga only?

We do have the players. Right now Lucho is not using wingers, but the fbs, to stretch the play. He sent deulo away, but can call adama to try something different, as pedro is finished. The midfielders are also too wide, to cover for the fbs. So there are things he can tweak on. He just hasn't done it yet.

He is a young coach and it is to be expected that he will make mistakes. But it is better they happen early to give him time to learn and improve. Last season it was plane sailing until the new year and we found out pretty quick that we had problems, at least we know early this season.

We were not outplayed, we just made more mistakes and that can be sorted. Suarez is needed quickly though, how he adapts will make or break our season.

Luis Enrique: "They could take advantage of our mistakes. They were individual mistakes, wrong decisions were made, need to analyze them."

Luis Enrique: "I said before PSG is a team that can win the Champions League, like us. Didn't have any doubt about it, they confirmed that."

Luis Enrique: "We could have drawn, would have been a fair result too. PSG is an great opponent, at the same level as us."

Luis Enrique: "Football is a game of mistakes, and PSG could take advantage of our mistakes.

Luis Enrique: "Centre backs and Ter Stegen? When you lose, it's about the team, and the final responsibility is for the coach."

Adding quotes of him from Dermot Corrigan(https://twitter.com/dermotmcorrigan) as the Barcastuff 'stuff' can get confusing and all that......

Luis Enrique in press conf "I dont believe it was a problem of intensity. They took advantage of errors we made."

Luis Enrique "Individual errors happen in football. It is a game of errors. We will see if it is one-off. If not we have other options."

Luis Enrique asked about Ter Stegen "I saw him like other players. We should have had more control of game, we were always on back-foot."

Luis Enrique on TV “PSG another team aiming to win Champions League. Even w/o Lavezzi & Ibra they have very good international players."

Luis Enrique: “In this game you pay for errors, especially at start of moves. I'd focus on errors which lead to losing ball, not set-pieces"

Luis Enrique: “Ajax draw good news. We're still 2nd in group, but know its not easy to play in Cyprus, or v Ajax, or v PSG at Camp Nou.”

Luis Enrique on errors in possession again: "You should not run such risks in defence. We had talked about that."

Luis Enrique "When you lose I do not usually look at individual aspects. Defeat is for everyone, for me first of all."

Honeymoon's over.
We're back to old problems where we can't defend free kicks and where we're the less motivated team.

Maybe it's good that we suffered this loss in September. Now it's up to Lucho to re-think his decisions and show that he's not a stubborn man.

First and foremost, put Mascherano in midfield and play with 2 regular cb's.
You eliminate half of our defensive issues right there. Not to mention motivate Busi to stay awake.

If the wingers are wide we end up with tito football and rely on messi to do everything. But it's slightly better build up because the middle three is close together.

Ok but why this? "not set-pieces" am i Reading it wrong? why shouldent we focus on that? with last year in mind are we good enough on set-pieces? what does he mean? thats exactly the same thing Tata said, almost Verbatim?

Right now the system is too rigid. It could be a variation of everything(fb and wingers interchanging), although then the players will really need to be focused and disciplined. But as it is, any stronger midfield will overrun ours. Even james and kroos.

I wrote this on the Busquets thread, Lucho's going to have to tweak his formation a bit. This mids wide to cover the fullbacks is already getting snuffed out. PSG is the second team to employ a 4-3-3 to counter it (Malaga the other) and it hasn't fared favorably. PSG did more today because they had more talent on the field.
There's just simply very little midfield flow with this formation and is far far too dependent on great fullback play to to be effective. When the opponents gets a high pressing with numbers, the wide positioning prevents any kind of flow or ball control to take place.

He's got to diversify the repertoire.

First misstep as Barca's manager. I want to see how he can adapt and fix what needs to be fixed:

No more games for Ter Stegen in Europe until he gets minutes in La Liga and gets acclimated to Barca's system. He looked shook and out of his depth at times out there tonight. If Bravo is going to get the majority of the minutes in La Liga, then he needs to be the starter. Lucho needs to make a decision either way.

Mascherano need to be moved permanently back to DM. Perhaps run a double-pivot of him and Busquets to strengthen the defense against teams who can counter like this, sacrifice either Iniesta in midfield or Pedro on the wings.

Alves and Alba can not start together against the elite teams in Europe. I really hope Lucho considers a 3-man back-line consisting of Bartra-Pique-Mathieu (or Vermaelan somewhere in the mix) because we essentially play with 2 in the back because Alves and Alba bomb forward constantly. A double-pivot right in front of that would certainly strengthen our defense and play to Mascherano's strengths.

Lucho still has some tweaking to do. I won't fully judge until Suarez and Vermaelen are brought on though.
