There's a lot of players with similar characteristics, you just have to try to find them. They don't need to be on the same level as Xavi or Alves either. Kroos was passed on who knows why, but there were better names than gomes or denis in the market. Young players, sure, but with a better profile for Barça. Their "liga experience" BS got us players like gomes or arda.

They don't need to be on the same level as Xavi and Alves, but they need to be of comparable value. I'm not seeing those names. Kroos, true, was a wasted opportunity to get a playmaker in midfield, and I even said at the time that it was room for both Kroos and Rakitic in the team, considering Xavi was almost gone. But we also got Suarez in that summer, and we didn't have the money I guess.

I'm not seeing enough value and opportunity on the transfer market to be able to keep playing the same style without key players like Xavi and Alves. Sure, there are some players who maybe have a slight similarity in style with them, but the quality is not there.

So, I see no point in selling what players we have now. Absolutely no point. Andre Gomes for example was one of the hottest young players in the world, with Barca, Madrid, and Juventus willing to sign him. Why sell him after a season? To buy who? Doesn't make any sense to me. Those are the players we have, we need to make the most out of them, including adapting the style to suit them.

There are so many players better than gomes. Even in la liga. Should had let him go to rm or juve, and signed a proper rb. Roberto is a better midfielder for Barça than he is. Just that shows the poor planning from lucho and robert. Team is worse and worse with each month. If not for Messi, we'd be in big trouble. This is the worse I've seen of "Messidependencia".

We'll talk in the next seasons about that. Everybody was saying how shit Kovacic is last season, and this season he's been playing great from what I saw. Right now, I trust the players we have to step up. We are already in the Copa final, and with very good chances in CL. If we have an opening for La Liga in april-may we will go for it as well.

Gomes is one of the best young players in La Liga with potential to be world class in 2 seasons.

Thanks to Messi & Suarez brilliance rather to Lucho & Unzue tactics...

How you dare! Lucho is great :)lol:).
You lost it! (cit.)

21 different midfields in 36 games.

And then people wonder why we play like shit and why we don't have an identity anymore...
But wait, we won at Calderon thanks to him!

GTFO.

Improvin' Perfection!!
Numerous surprises in this game:
Paco scored the opener, a very cool finish at that
Leo subbed
Vidal gave the MotM performance and scored a great goal too (btw he should be starting more often)
We have a clean sheet in a match that Mathiieu started, and finished, as LB!

Not sure what to say. He is brilliant.
1st half had an amazing tactics to give opponent an illusion that they are in control and than completely turn the game around in the second half.:coffee:

I somehow get this impression that most of our goals scored from open play these days come from counters? Not that there is anything wrong with being good at playing counter, of course it is great, but if my impression is true, that also goes to show how ineffective, poor and idealess we are when we have possession. Is Luis Enrique's tactic these days simply being let's let our opponent dominate us (even at home) and we will rely on counters and set pieces (most of which from MSN) to win games? Basically we will be rendered useless without MSN?

He got bailed out by MSN so many times and now he gets bailed out by MSN and luck. He needs to go.
