How many times did he get caught offside tonight?!
I thought his general touch and linkup play was better tonight than it's been so far this season but that's not saying much unfortunately.
So sad to see him like this. I hope he can somehow come back from the shocking form he's currently in.

One thing I will never understand so far this season is Valverde being reluctant to bench him or sub him off when he's clearly having a terrible game. Valverde has no qualms of subbing off the likes of Deulo,Semedo etc if they aren't making an impact one would want but other than one occasion this season he has refused to even consider benching him or subbing him off despite being a major hindrance to the team.
Seriously what is the deal with this? he's essentially giving Suarez a free pass despite his putrid form right now. It seems there's some players who are on the thinnest of ice while the likes of Suarez,Rakitic and Pique can keep getting away with performing much worse.
Look at the first half, everyone was playing great but one player and you know who that player is? yeah it's Suarez he was nowhere near on the same wavelengths as the rest of the team and was constantly caught offside and making terrible decisions with the ball.
Someone seriously needs to sit him aside until he's actually ready to play again and actually earn his spot back.

He is a stubborn old prick. He said paco wasnt in his future plans, and rather than being humble and admit his mistakes, he would run this team to fucking ground. He should be sacked

I blame Messi for some of them, he kept passing him the ball no matter what. Messi should stop trusting that Saurez is timing his runs.

Saurez is Messi best friend, Pique and Rakitic are leaders in the locker room. He doesn’t want the team against him. It’s not like he has many options at those positions.

My point is that Valverde has done everything to not rock the boat. Rakitic is somehow important to the harmony of the team and Valverde has no interest in disturbing the peace.
I always thought Suarez would decline earlier than most players but I didn't think it would be this bad. His entire game was based around quick turns, acceleration, and physicality. He's always been at his best playing off of instinct and tended to struggle when he has time to think. At the moment, he literally offers nothing and, unless he has a serious injury that can be fixed, I think he'll keep going downhill even if he may still occasionally score the odd flukey goal or two.

Rakitic a leader my ass, if anything he's the textbook poster boy of a coward who would rather have other players do the heavy lifting while he goes and hides and does fuck all on the field when the going gets tough. a far cry from his Sevilla and Second half treble season performances.

Suarez needs rest or surgery. Whenever Dembele is backrest him till he is healthy or make him take the surgery. He is useless now on field without any acceleration or speed. Look at yesterday's game. He was offside 6 times, because even he knows he is not going to get there fast enough unless he cheats a bit. He is too slow..
