Luis Suárez

But he really was abysmal for a year, wasn’t he? I don’t think that criticizing him was wrong.

I'd agree , he's been unrecognisable to the Suarez I loved watching at Liverpool but started showing better signs a few games ago .
Last night he was nearly back to his best .

Wondering if he's been invigorated by Coutinho joining as he knows he's gonna get loads more chances to score ..

Wow, so you want a medal for that? You dont need to act like you won the most politically correct person award. Players will eventually reach a point where they cant produce anymore and Suarez did have a long poor run until he managed to improve against Villareal and people praised him for that. People didnt scream at him after one game. And I dont see people going "mental or extreme" since the past month when he got his form back so stop making such a big hoo ha. Rakitic on the other hand played a terrible game and funnily u were silent about him.

Yes of course according to your bullshit logic i should be yelling to sell Rakitic, as trashing your own club players is the cool thing to do, as is expecting your club to lose just to prove a point. Pathetic.

what's pathetic are your knee-jerk hind-sight comments every time a player comes out of shit form..

i cant wait for you to post something similar on the Gomes thread when he has a good game

No one's yelling. U are the one yelling and overreacting. Everyone has good game and bad games. One moment a player can be god, the next they can be utterly shit. Given Suarez had a long run of bad form, and given his age, it's only understandable that people might think he cant go on anymore. Same with Iniesta but he did well this season and the board already prepared a replacement for him. So why is it so shocking that people are criticising Suarez at the start? He isnt 20 years old anymore.

Suarez already had his form long ago, and people recognised it and why still having this massive explosion of reaction, like "FUCK U ALL... blah blah."

Give me a goddamn break lmao.

I'd say that Suarez only started showing odd flashes of his self about 5 games ago tbh and he's got better every game since .

Wasn't he carrying an injury though a few months back ?

He had that knee injury in Supercup game and then it hasn't healed properly, but he went to play for Uruguay anyway. He said he played with pain and had to do recovery work for months.

There is a difference between criticism and saying someone is finished and should be sold.

Demanding a player to be sold is one of the most extreme ways you can criticize a player. I am not surprised at that given how poor Suárez has been for a long time. I myself thought his form would not return, but he got his shit together.

Needs to let Dembele have a sip of his special yerba mate tea. I still think that he is injured by the way but for some strange reason he just keeps going. Every now and then he holds his knees after making a run. Surely there must be something strange going on.

But then again, this is a man who crushed England while limping around the pitch :suarez1:

I guess the club is happy for him to be his own Doctor.

Oh my god, i am sorry for not being an immature keyboard warrior trying to find reasons why to trash the players of my beloved football team, who have over the years brought so much success and joy. Loyalty is one the key values i admire in life and throwing players overboard because of bad form or in some case (like Rakitic) not even that is not normal.
Seriously, your comments and bitterness makes me believe you actually want players to fail and to be sold, rather than actually regain shape and be as good as they were before just so you would be "right". That is one pathetic human being there.

Gomes is a scapegoat who is not even in a million years as bad as people make him sound here. He was expensive purchase and not from La Masia and happened to join a team in disarray with tired and clueless coach, not to mention his style and qualities are not really suitable for Barcelona.
His games and confidence has been on totally different level this season though, so I have nothing against him. He wasnt even bad against Real Sociedad, neither was he good, just average game from him. There are thousands of shades of grey between black and white btw.

Want to know what made me trigger that way? The unproportional attitude. For me it is not normal to go months and months talking about someone being over it and selling and then having "oh im glad i was wrong" and moving along to next target, especially when it comes to talking about one of our better players in recent years.

Pique is honestly a better journalist than he was at defending yesterday.

Maybe that's the biggest reason why he's very inconsistent now. He has a big mobile gaming company (Kerad Games) and works on his Piqué+ show. He's doing so many things outside football. This guys future after football is secured plus he'll probably be a president of Barcelona someday. He needs to focus on consistency or else, our young CBs will bench him.

Not as dramatic as u write tho. People simply judge them based on their performances on a weekly basis, and if u had that Penaldo type of conversion rate for Suarez at the start of the season, it would certainly raise eyebrows and questions and whats more it went on for 19 games and only 6 goals and recently he had 6 games and already 8 goals. Massive difference and people will have questions and doubts.

And who knows, after this season, Suarez might actually be done the next season and u might be wrong again. And then it would be Messi's turn. Eventually they all have to leave bcos of their age and decline. It's also a sort of risky investment if u choose to stick with a player, not knowing he actually cannot replicate while he produce in past years anymore.

If Suarez didnt perform well for one game and people start bitching abt it then it's unreasonable. But it has went on for 19 fcking games and it's unfair for Messi to be delivering and assisting but not Suarez.

Gomes has nvr been great for Barcelona, especially in big games. He is good but nowhere near Barcelona's level

So stop being nitpicky and overly dramatic, by guessing who's right and who's wrong. Ultimately Gomes did play a terrible game and u cant say people are wrong abt that. And did anyone here say : "Fck u, haha see I was right abt Gomes blah blah."?

No. It was only you. So pipe the fck down and stop complaining for the love of God. It's annoying to see comments like yours as well.
