Luis Suárez

Well, well. Where are all the sellers of Suarez?

I honestly thought he was in rapid decline but he showed some nice touches a few weeks ago and he's played like the old Suarez ever since Coutinho signed for us :)

Suarez knows he's gonna get so many more opportunities to score now

What caused his decline was the massive blow to his morale when the coach was preparing dembele for the wing and thus pushing suarez to attack from the left wing. But Dembele's injury was a blessing in disguise because the coach didn't have to accomodate no one and he put Suarez back to his position and the rest is history. Suarez is the beast, he always was. This once again proves that Dembele was forced on the coach who clearly favors a 4-4-2 from the begining. Political signings end like that, it started with dumass Turan, Lord vidal and now it continues with Demeble, nothing to see here.

Not really. Dembele was the one who provided the assist for his first goal, against Espanyol, and after Dembele got injured, he was back to a goal slump, notably his frustration during the Las Palmas closed door game. He was also always called offside and being terribly slow in link up plays and I recall his game against Olympiacos, he was the worst player on the field. 4 clear shots and he failed to put them all on target at least.

It was then until Villareal where he showed a glimpse of his magic, whisked past one defender, skipped past the keeper and cooly slots it into the back of the net. He's never done something like this in a long time and ever since he was back to his former self, much sharper and clinical ever since, with or without the presence of a right winger.

Suarez is a deadly striker who will always thrive with wingers because they attract defenders and would always leave Suarez in open space, examples when Dembele made that electric surging run against Celta, but chose to go alone when he could have easily passed to Suarez or Gomes who were in acres of space. There's simply no way a right winger would hinder Suarez's space but would actually do the exact opposite. Messi is always dropping deep as a false 9 so he wouldnt exactly push Suarez as a "left winger". But even then, he played from the left wing entirely alone against Sociedad and provided a red carpet assist to Paulinho which signalled the start of a comeback. He was incredibly fast and precise when he ran behind defenders, definitely something you dont expect from him.

Nothing to do with position or formation but him being sharper and probably stricter on his diet and physical regime.

What's with all these smug fortune-tellers coming out of the woodwork to say that "I told you so" and acting like they knew Suarez was going to return to playing well?

Suarez genuinely looked finished earlier in the season, Paco was a better choice than him at that time and considering his age and the prolonged period of atrocious form he was going through all the signs pointed towards a steep, permanent decline. I couldn't be happier that he's back but the people acting like they knew he would come back like this and demeaning the people that criticized him earlier in the season need to get a grip.

Because of some people's sheer obsession with shaming other users here, something you would see in Nazi feminists, except some people here are worse than women. They act like users here criticise players after one bad game, particularly in the case of Suarez, which had clearly gone on for 19 full games early this season, when Messi on the other hand is consistently delivering goals and assists week-in week out.

Some of the exaggerated remarks like: Trash talking, bullying, picking scapegoats, trolling and none of them is half-true or without reasons.

These people desperately wants to prove a point as well, but usually has zero solid explanation or evidences, inability to refute their vague statements with substance and always have to resort to shaming or condemning other users as "fake or plastic supporters.":

Says the guy waiting for Barca to crash to make a point.

And some of these delusional clowns are also probably thinking Gomes is a valuable asset to the club when that guy is nowhere near Barcelona's level, and hardly delivers in big games. Give credit where credit is due but be realisitc for once, Gomes was simply atrocious against Sociedad, and these players are getting paid big money playing in a competitive sport.

People here just wants to "protect their clubs and players" and act like the most righteous, loyal club supporter ever but are clearly not thinking with their brains. So spare me the high horse, you people are no different from the average fan like everyone else here and are absolutely free to give their honest opinions and criticism of the players.

People be over complicating shit he is back of form because he as lost all that extra weight he was carrying around, said it from the beginning give him time to drop a few lbs & he will be back.

He as 1/2 more good seasons in him, then he will struggle which his wieght permanently.

People here are very protective of their idols. Here in "real life", employers are much more harsh towards the people that earn about 10.000x less, work for at least 8 hours a day and have to plan and save stuff for their future. Yes, if you earn a lot, if you are paid a ton, you should deal with critics...especially in public space. Suarez was shit for better part of the season and to be honest we still don't have any guarantees it won't happen again. I am also sure he was aware of that. Luckily his confidence is not glass like.

What extra weight? Any proof of that? I don't remember him being chubby. And that's not an excuse really.

It was very probable he wasn't in a permanent decline. He scored 37 goals last season. Why would he suddenly turn into garbage at the age of 30 without major injury?

People concentrating on every clumsy touch as if this wasn't always the case with him even in his absolute prime.

But even if he was, some of the stuff written here was pure embarrassment. Someone here actually wished death on him.

He is one of the biggest legends in the club's history, only 4 players have scored more La Liga goals for Barca (he'll overtake Eto'o after a couple of games too). Even if he declines there is no need for such reactions, for your own dignities at least.

A big portion of the "fan"base will not take it very well in a couple of years once the team truly declines and has a couple of barren years if you can't even take a club legend having a couple of bad months. Not well at all.

Ursegor Then it was also highly probable that he is indeed in a major decline, since u said he scored 37 last season and didnt have any major injury and didnt look overweight. The first logical big conclusion is that he is on a decline, same thing with Penaldo.

Wished death on him? Probably just one troll out of how many thousands of users here but u seriously think he has some real black magic. He wouldn't even hurt a fly.

Some of the accusations here are clearly exaggerated and snowflakes here are overly protective of their players. People simply judged him after a long period, and he played every game so it's fairly reasonable for people to try to point it to different theories. And Alcacer did performed better than him at some point, even though he is nowhere near Suarez but in terms of simply converting shots into goals, Alcacer has been far more productive.

A couple of bad months is enough to lose out on a trophy and do u think its fair for someone like Messi to be carrying the team from start to finish?

The worst comments I heard is for Alcacer to replace him during his rough patch, get sorted out and then try to deliver again. He doesnt need to play a full 90 mins every game.

It's not weight, he probably did it to himself by rushing back from the knee injury to help Uruguay in qualifiers.

Expectations will lower and we will get used to it. At first it will hurt, but we will get used to it. This is the golden generation, I think everybody understands that and that's why we are so upset, If we don't win now, because It's not going to last forever and tougher times are coming..

na . I'm sure he meant to score ... He had a look up , then curled the ball , something he's done for a decade .. S.Roberto wasn't even in the penalty box when Suarez took the shot ..

You never curl the ball like that while trying to finish. His movement before the shot didn't imply him trying a shot, more like trying to lob a pass over the keeper to roberto.
