Luis Suárez

I think we're reaching a point where Suarez and Messi both in the attack is going to be a liability for us. We simply put need more pace and movement there + the ability to at least control the football consistently like a professional player.

Returning to a false nine system might be a good idea

What's happened with him, he seems like a crisis far too long.

He absolutely did nothing, we were playing with 10 men
He was never the fastest nor all that great on a technical level but he made up for it in commitment and his finishing and his strong mentality.

But these days he's playing like someone who is too comfortable with how things are going and it doesn't seem like he's all that bothered at least trying to get back to any previous level. He's either on the floor, loses the ball due to some ridiculous pass or poor ball control, in an offside position or he's bitching at his teammates for not giving him the ball when he's nowhere near where he should be.

He's playing more like a shitty poacher these days. He's not doing nearly enough that he deserves to be our starting striker in this day in age and he will still get a free pass for it by Valverde and he will start vs Valencia.

Suarez isn't good enough and can not produce anything on his own, unless he is spoon fed by his best friend Messi.
It's becoming even more glaring as the games go bye that I was right.
No Messi, no show for Suarez.
It's appalling that Barca has gotten to the point where we have a main striker who can't pass, can't control the ball, can't dribble, has no element of surprise!
I am sorryy, but this Barca is looking like FC Messi now.

Needs to go because of our team requirements. Messi must make the transition to our main man up front supported by runners.

Just imagine Salah, Griezmann, Mbappe or any fast striker/wing hybrid type playing next to false 9 Messi together with Dembele on the other wing and Coutinho in midfield helping with creating chances. Fantastic, just look at the Liverpool strikers.

Now compare that with slow Suarez standing offside the whole time in the middle offering nothing at all with Messi doing everything alone while the wings are just support and mostly played by slow CMs because we play that shitty defensiv 4-4-2 that Valverde seems to love so much.

But I don't think it'll happen anytime soon.

I don’t even know what to say about this guy. He has been getting more and more on my nerves as the season has wore on. His first touch, decision making and positioning are all god awful but yet he is always whining and flailing around when he doesn’t get service. Why would anyone want to pass you the ball when you just turn it over immediately. Surely Paco can at least retain the ball and complete a simple pass?? I don’t know if this guy is past it or if Valverde completely ran him into the ground? Either way he sucks and its time for him to be the backup striker or for him to be sold. Messi will have to deal with it.

He seems done. I don't know if he is actually done. If this is just a crisis must be the longest one any player had. Probably got too comfortable at the top.

He also doesn't have competition on spot. Because our great managerial team bought Paco alcacer for a battle for our attack. Lol.....

Without competition some players sit just too comfortable knowing they play anyway every match...

Suarez's true defensive play inspiration.

Spoiler: the clip ends with something that inspired Madrid. An offisde goal.

In reality Suarez isn't good enough against Europe's elite anymore, and that was also the case last year.

He spends too much time trying to draw fouls and disrupting play than concentrating on making a positive contribution to the game. There's also an heir of arrogance about him, where he doesn't feel the need to help out tracking players whilst constantly complaining, all the while being completely shite himself.

If he wasn't so close to Messi, he'd be out of the team. I don't buy into any of that Messi dictatorship stuff but i think him being close with Messi protects him.
