Luis Suárez

He is still one of the best finishers in would football have we said some of the goals he as scored this season.

That being said, he & Messi present a tactical issue for the club do we have to choose 1 and we all know how that goes.

If we are going to play a true 4-2-3-1 then he can stay, but none of this 441 bullshit

But Messi needs to return to the center, one way or the other in a 433, then Messi is the 9 and we need a outside forward, which he is incapable of playing.

Honestly he is far from a problem. The only reason he is a bit of a problem is because we don't have any creative threat in the team apart from messi. There isn't much difference in the profile of him and cr7, both are poachers and close range finishers who rely heavily on service but the difference is that cr7 gets service while he is denied service if messi is quiet.

If we have some players who can actually do something and create apart from messi, then he isn't a problem at all. With coutinhio and dembele in full flow next season I would want our attacking threat to magnify manifold.

Ronaldo would be about as useless in this team, i'd agree with that. Put Suarez in Madrid and he'd be effective if he had all those players setting him up all game.

We can't afford to carry Suarez, especially when Messi can't run much. He's so slow as well now and in not in as good a condition as Ronaldo.

His ballcontroll, his passing and dribbling has declined massively the last 2 season, at this point its hurting the team a lot of the time.
Still a decent to sometimes great goalpoachet but nothing else.

Excuses are made out for this guy because he "Runs and works hard"

He runs 9km/game.

Neymar used to be around 11km/game, and who would run back to track the defender and who did not give up when the chips were down? Neymar, but sure because he was cocky as fuck and used to hold the ball for an eternity and was a spoiled brat, he was a cancer while Suarez who literally moans and tries to dive all the time while doing fuck all in the Champions League for the last two years is a poor guy because he played so many games and is tired. A "fighter". The fighter that cannot control a ball, play a decent 5m pass and instead of running more and actually playing, decides to roll around on the ground at every little contact like a pussy.

He is a fucking problem and he won't get better when he turns 32 next year.

I know he is a Barca legend, but is trying too much to expect?

If Suarez is just a poacher now that cannot do anything else, then that's even more reason to not only bench him, but sell him.

You know why? Because his movement has gotten shockingly poor and he's lost the pace and agility to beat his defender first to the ball.

I still wonder why he gets the privilege of not tracking back.

We already have Messi not tracking back Suarez as well? Man fuck that. Bad enough we have a slow ass Midfield having to cover for them you would think Suarez could at least chip in and help defend in non set piece situations but nope he gets the privilege to sit on his ass up field while the rest of the team has to cover for him and Messi.

Our players are entitled pricks, almost everyone including Messi no matter how it triggers people. Deal with it.

Except for ter Stegen and Busquets.

No passion, no desire to move or run more to make something happen, hustle like it's called. No wanting to accept they have problems, no wanting to face the press, nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Drop your shoulders and sulk. Cry a bit. Look sad. Rinse and repeat.

More stats:

Neymar in the CL last season - 4 goals + 8 assists - Labeled as a liability, a villain in terms of our overall play

Luis Suarez in the CL last season - 3 goals + 2 assists as our CF

You know what is even more damning?

Luis Suarez in the CL this season: 1 goal + 3 assists

Sorry, but he's finished. His 22 leagues in the league doesn't convince me when he goes missing when the stakes are higher and against higher quality opposition.

Forgot one more thing: You know what makes this even worse?

That he is a total liability in any build up play or counter-attacking opportunity, because he cannot control the ball to save his life or play a simple one-two pass.

Sure he'll then have a highlight pass that is a fluke and people will point that out like it's the best thing since sliced bread while forget everything else.

The bias is ridiculous and I don't even like the cunt in Paris and agree he fucked up a lot of plays trying to be a playmaker when he should have been a CR type of goalscorer like in 2014/15.

To be fair Busi was abysmal in majority of games this season.

+1

I've been saying this from the end of the 16 season. Suarez is done. But his goals in the league blinded everyone to calling him the "best striker in the world". What a joke - this is a guy who falls on the ground and clutches his face for about 90% of the time he's on the pitch. Aside from him not being able to make the simplest passes or control a ball, his constant whining, bitching, face holding and diving is a pain to watch.

I'd sell him in a heartbeat, but rest assured he isn't going anywhere. We're just too passive as a club. There's a serious problem with the coach, the squad and the general direction and long term vision for the club, but we just sit back and wait for stuff to rot all the way to the bone before we're even ready to talk about making a change.

To me what Barca is really missing is a manager that is ruthless enough to weed out the self entitlement aura our players carry, someone in the mould of Bielsa who is crazy enough to kill the players in practice, like fucking drive them crazy. someone to shake things up. I rewatched the Roma match, I could legit four players who were fighting. I felt tht only Pique and Busquets and Iniesta along with Stegan who cared, other than those four players none gave a fuck that day.

You would think its a pre season game the way Messi, Rakitic and everyone else bar those four were playing, crazy, just crazy. Again, put Lucho or hell...Simeone in the place of Valvarde and I think they would legit strangle someone in the dressing room for that display.

Sorry for the long post, not the type to post alot as I’m the type to stare from the rafters and look but I just felt like throwing my two cents in this.

Yep I'd go for Bielsa just to see what happens. Dude's a mad man!

It's gonna sound zany but I'd bet that even Phil Jackson would do a better job, despite not knowing jack about football.

We should try to offer him to Atleti, to bring Griezmanns price down. I think he would be a good fit for Simeone. Suarez would stay in Spain close to his family and friends. Everybody wins.

Dont think Simeone would want him or place any great value on him in a deal.

He is not quick, loses ball to often and doesnt seem to be able to press with the team.

Better off at a club that has more of ball and he can be hit or miss in final third.

No one at club will have the balls to sell Suarez. Too close to Messi.
