Luis Suárez

Pretty much everyone hates Griezmann now but you have to be blind to not see that he's two or three times better than Suarez at the moment.

Uruguay as a team were pretty shit today tbf. if he struggles against the Saudi's then that really would be a cause for concern

Hope it wasn't me who jinxed him. If Tuchel was his coach, he'd put him on a detox diet + radical synaptic restructuring + anti-offside VR electro-shock daily sessions :giggle:

Supposing a Chinese Team be willing to pay his 200 mil buyout clause, could we in theory force him to take it?

and if not, we could offer him out of the 200 mil a 50 mil incentive to go practice his FKs over the Great Wall

so that's 50 million byebe mon cowboy bonus + his new 3 years China mega-contract. Maybe he'll take it!

don't worry guys.

I'm sure he'll have 1 month of excelent football next season during which all his appologists will ask where are his haters and such

it's just a phase

he'll come back stronger

he is not finished

So much this man. Remember clearly when sometime during Jan or something he had a good run of games for like one month and there were psuedo-intellects flocking this thread with "Doubters and haters where are you know" as if they doubters were criticising him after just 3 or 4 bad games.

The biggest problem is suarez needs to score some tapins/close range goals and everyone will forget how shit he was the entire match. Had he scored a goal tonight one can bet half the criticism posts here wouldn't be here.

Just like his critics crawl out when he doesn't score. Works both ways.

He won't be sold this summer so mind as well hope he does improve next season.

You’re right that he won’t be sold but he shouldn’t be a starter. Hopefully Valverde grows a pair and benches him. He is in decline but can maybe offer something off the bench.

Agree he should be benched but can’t see it happening at all.. and for who?

Doubt we’ll see Messi at CF again.

His form is actually shocking.

Not just his finishing, but dribbling, passing, touches, speed, acceleration, decision making...literally everything looks lost.

It's painful to watch because we haven't seen a 'complete' Suarez for over a year now and he only seems to be falling even further.

Why? He’s the best we have and has been acting like a CF that drops deep all season in Valverde’s 4-4-2.

This rubbish that the False 9 was figured out is just that. Rubbish.

Messi played False 9 early in 2014/15 and again in the beginning of last season and he was as devastating as ever. Played False 9 in the latter stages of the season too like against Villarreal, Deportivo, Valencia and even Sevilla in the Copa final.

I’m not saying he’s not effective there, he’s affective anywhere.

Just can’t see Valverde having him there by himself.. or moving away from the 4-4-2.. because if we drop Suarez like you said you’ve got Messi by himself there and if he drops deep we’ve got no striker. Unless we buy someone.

While this may be true of some other players, disagree with Suarez. I think most of us who have been critical of him have been pretty consistent in saying that he's way past it. Even when he scores, most people notice his poor touches, passing, pace, dribbling, etc. and at a lot of times he feels like our Ronaldo; except that Ronaldo is still a real threat in the air and is getting more goals than Suarez, especially in CL games.

It's painfully obvious what the problem is, but it's hurtful as a fan to know that there are so many things that affect who plays for the team; like star status, friendship with players, wage and player cost, etc. His is a clear example of us playing someone every game; someone who has no right to be an undisputed starter, based on his footballing level over the last season and a bit.

You make it sound as if he has the same amount of good games and bad games when he has much more bad games than good ones. So those who criticize him are right instead of those who accuse the cynics for doubting.

If only me hoping would have improved him. The club lacks foresight to buy his replacement and slowly phasing suarez out as he declines even more. I am already afraid of thinking of next season with him. His overall gameplay isn't first division level. Legend for us and all but doesn't look like a professional footballer right now.
