Yeah we can't let him stay till 2022. High wages, bad attitude (towards benching) and slow movement. Even PSG moved on from Cavani. He is still more valuable player overall than Suarez, yet we keep him.

The lack of proper in the world is shocking. Lautaro is only one "available". Shocking bad quality.

So you're saying we should buy Cavani :bartomeu:

Jokes aside PSG handled the situation better than we are doing now.
They loaned Icardi while Cavani still was at the club, to adapt and to see the fit.
IIRC their buy option was optional, which is the same type of deal that would be perfect with Lautaro who has so many question marks.

True. They played it very well. Great planning there. Perfect time to get rid of Cavani too. He will be still useful but not at the top leveel.

So, all what we need is to convince Lautaro to steal Wanda from Icardi?

He apparently want the club to offer him a renewal until 2023. At this rate I think Messi will be gone before him lol.

Makes sense.

Messi will likely stay until 2022-2023 so he can play the winter 22' WC in Qatar. I am sure he'd like his mate Suarez by his side until then. Busquets' contract also runs until then.

Shame, but the next board likely has to deal with the amigos for two seasons as well. Summer prior to the 2023-24 season is when the rebuild will start.

Will be a good indication what to expect from the elected board with how they well handle it the issue.

Really down to the players themselves realizing they don't have it in them anymore and stepping aside.

I cannot see any board being able to approach the likes of Busi, Pique, Suarez etc. and telling them they need to either leave or accept a bench role.

Those are tough decisions that need to be taken. The likes of Busi and Suarez are already massive problems. I can only imagine how worse it will be with them being 2/3 years older.
