Lautaro is a good replacement for Suarez but I wouldnt pay more than 80mio.

So the board leaked in the press that Lautaro operation is halted unless Suarez is sold to MLS (Inter Miami was rumored to be offering 30m for him).
This move is suspicious for several reasons. Here is the thought:
1) If he was an easy scapegoat, like Arthur or Semedo, they would have been ruthless in informing the player that he is for sale, threatening him, and forcing him out in any way possible.
2) Since Suarez is part of the Amigos, he has immunity shield and leverage against the board, and basically he decides when to leave and not the board (that's the pathetic state of affairs the club has sunk into)
3) Since 2 is the case, it means that the leak in the press is not part of a strategy outlined in 1 that would have happened with Semedo or Arthur.
4) Given 2, and 3, the only possible explanation of the leak is the following: the board wants to prepare the ground in order to justify the fact that they will not eventually buy Lautaro. 'We could only buy him with Suarez gone. Suarez is still with us, no lautaro"
No surprising of course. They have sunk so low in the dirty tactics they use.
Like last summer, when they pretended that they are negotiating about Neymar, when in fact they had no intention of concluding any deal (and PSG knew that. That's why Leonardo met Abidal. They would have never sat on the same table if they knew Barca's intentions were true)

So true, his performances in Cl are too weak for a top class player. It like playing with 10 ten....and with Rakitic we are 9 men.
