Luis Suárez

He was shit apart from the goal. Runs like someone that's paraplegic.

Let's just say he was a roundhouse shit thrower. This "well but he got his goal" and "apart from the goal" while it was just a gifted penalty is one of the reasons why certain players are totally overrated and Suarez is still part of this team. In the end people just read "goal" and think that it couldn't have been that bad.

Not me. I've said we need to move on from him for three years now.

The best we can hope from him now is some old magic or him simply keeping it simple and not getting in the way.

This is what he said:

Regarding Napoli:
"We had a scare at the beginning. An away goal is always difficult, but we scored first. We handled the game very well and as the minutes went by, the team created chances and Leo scored. It's true that the 3-1 scoreline generated a little bit of caution, but we played a great first half"
"We created few chances, but we're more than satisfied. The important thing was to advance and now we have to take advantage of the rest days to think about our next opponents."

Regarding Bayern Munich:
"In a single match, anyone has a chance. It's 50-50. Bayern Munich is a great rival and one of the candidates just like us and the eight teams that are going to be in Lisbon. The games are to be played, they will be 11 against 11 and we have 90', 120' or whatever it takes to see which team does better in order to advance to the semifinals"

Bayern match is as 50-50 as him fucking up ball control... It's more like 25-75.

Id say bayern match is more like 40-60 in bayern favour. Our 40% is mats having a hero night, de jong doesnt get overrun in mf and suarez having his best game since forever.
Add to those things messi with a masterclass and we are through. But too many ifs

The amigos genuinely believe they are amongst the top players in the world and Barca defeat is down to anyone but them.

Of course they believe the tie is close.

If Barca have Messi and Suarez standing up the park and not moving or closing as in second half yesterday Barca will get destroyed.

Griezmann is not a AM either.

Would be better with Puig/Vidal AM and Griezmann up top with Messi. At least then have more players that can press, move and run in behind.

Suarez is untouchable for next two years though let alone the Bayern game. No one will risk pissing off amigos.

What needs to happen for us to get through:

-MATS locking his goal (Possible)
-Pique being in a footballer state of mind, not businessman state of mind (Possible)
-Lenglet continuing his form (Possible)
-Alba getting his head together (Possible)
-Semedo playing one of his better games (Possible)
-Busquets playing one of his better games (Possible)
-FDJ continuing his form (Possible)
-Decent showing from the 3rd midfielder, whoever it is (Possible)
-Rakitić benched (Possible)
-Griezmann benched for whoever (Possible)

-Suarez playing his best game since the COVID break (Unlikely, almost impossible)
-Suarez not fucking everything up and helping the defence a bit (Not likely, but possible)

Saw what matthaus said, and quite realistic. Its bayerns to lose, they would have to make a lot of mistakes to lose to THIS barca side. I hate that honest german opinions

More importantly, Setien having a good match plan + Messi being on form.

All these things are "possible", but not likely to happen all together.

Our players are not going to come out in the media and say they have no chance even if the reality is we're underdogs.
