Messi last season had 9 goals 15 games into the la liga and he missed 5 of those 15 games. But yeah , it's because mighty Suarez leaving Barca that's causing this.

If anything, I prefer Madrid not to win many titles while we are in reconstruction. And Suarez at Atletico will improve them for 1-2 seasons.

Plus, weren't some rumors that Suarez wanted a long extension? Something which would've tied him with a contract with Barca until near 40 or something?

It's debatable that we wouldn't have won La Liga, even last year. Competition was/is not much better.

At least this year, it would have been closer. CL was a dream anyway.

Fati just gets more game time now, since we are not playing 442 anymore. Dembele was just injured, he didn't improve or regressed.

Fair enough Messi and Suarez played a lot between them, but they didn't have alternatives around either. Fati was just bursting into the scene. Dembele was injured. Griezmann was helped by both Suarez and Messi at the start, but he is just awful

For me dont care too much about it being closer if think changes are being made that are needed and dont think Barca can play as should expect with both Messi and Suarez at this age. The prospect waa having it for another seaosn after that as well.

Barca results at end of last season got worse when Suarez came back into team after injury and were worse just prior to it and that was with him scoring goals and assisting more than anyone else.

Griezmann has been shit and worse this season but Dembele is better, Fati is better..... in a lot of ways when motivated Messi is better as well in all round team play even if shooting boots gone missing.

I dont think likes of Pedri gets same freedom if there are two attackers that play way Messi/Suarez did nor Fati/Dembele.

A team can deal with having one of Suarez or Messi. It can't deal with having both + other old players (Pique, Busquets, etc).

It's easy to build a team that masks one pair of aging legs. Not 5.

Don't know what a team with several useless runners can do. Oh wait, we actually do know - 6th place in the league.

So much running, different dynamic, champagne football. If anybody can tell me that what we are doing now is progressing and the current style of play is something that will linger on for years to come, then shoot me now.

Well that is part of trying to rebuild and improve things and not hold onto multiple players that can no longer play together at intensity needed to compete. Need to try and improve things.

If Barca gave up a title with Suarez fair enough but they have not.

Messi and Suarez together is too much for rest of team to cope with off ball if have any ambitions of being a high intensity team that can press and work together off the ball.

Fati/Dembele/Pedri all be better for it.

8 - Luis Su?rez has scored eight goals in his first 11 games for @atletienglish in #LaLiga equaling the best starting for a Atl?tico's striker in the competition this century (Radamel Falcao in 2011). Tiger

Dude, give it a rest. Like with Messi, his time at Barca was done. He needed some new motivation as well.

55,9% - Desde el debut del argentino en octubre de 2004, el Barcelona solo ha ganado el 55,9% de sus partidos de LaLiga sin Lionel Messi (66V 30E 22D), en comparaci?n con el 73,7% con ?l (368V 83E 48D). A?oranza. https://t.co/1ETtxM1LV7

This is really funny the arguement is fucking stupid, we had fucking suarez and messi last year and the year before and the year before, what was our fucking situation we where the best team in the world hhhhh what the fuck we lost the fucking league after he came back from injury to play with us, we where the first before he came back and lost the league when he came back, we got humilated in CL for 4 years with him not scoring a single fucking away goal all these years, and still some of you wanted him to stay. Oh ya might as well keep rekatic abd vidald and rinse and repeat hhhhh, Atletico
Defence is the one winning for them not fucking 1 goal scored. And we actually have more goals than them, this season is not so good but the best thing that happend for barca is we got rid of this fucking donkey.
I am much more happy watching barca this season than the last 3 season with this donkey Suarez.
