Does Coutinho have that position? Not a proper LW (or inside forward), not a MC (same as Denis & Alena).

He did rate the signing of Lenglet even though he clearly was not some world class talent as he claims is absolutely necessary, but Arthur was dismissed by BBZ for months before he even joined us. A huge flop from Brazil, just like Neymar, apparently.

Patience is a virtue, yet majority has seen that Gomes is NOT a player for Barca even after a few matches.
Or Gumbau.
Or Douglas.
Or Munir.
Or Deulofeu.
Or Paco.

Or Dembele and Malcom.

Nothing is certain in life and set in stone, but you can see some things if you are not biased and too emotional about players.
Dembele has (on paper) skills good enough for Barca.
But he lacks IQ, professionalism and he isn't "our" type of a player.

Malcom for now seems like a good guy and a very good footballer.
But nowhere near Barca's level.

Yet, people act as if this is some kind of an insult.
99,999% players in the world are not Barca's level.
90-100% players of majority of NT teams around the world are not Barca's level.

But fine, let's wait a few more Months until more people will realize things which were clear even after 100 or 200 minutes.
And that is:


Plus preseason matches and you can freely add Malcom's matches from France.

One more time, he is way too slow even compared to average footballers, not only compared to pacey wingers.
His dribbles are decent, but not out of this world.
And he can score some goals.

One more time, I don't have absolutely anything against this guy.
The same as with Paco, Deulofeu, Samper, Denis and similar.
But imo, he is that tier of players and not in Barca's tier.

But let's wait a few more Months until it will be correct to write off a player.
But even then we'll get replies like:
We need a new manager, no one can improve under EV.
Or: this was his first season. Let's wait how will he play in the 2nd season.
Or my favorite: He is only 22. He is young and has potential. Let's wait more time. Remember what happened with De Bruyne and Salah.
Or: Luka Modric was playing at Dinamo Zagreb at that age and look where is he now.

Listen BBZ, Malcom doesn’t have to be a world class crack to be a Barca player. Maybe you’re right when you’re saying that he’s not Barca tier. But let’s take an external example: Lucas Vasquez, a Real Madrid player. Is Vasquez a Real Madrid tier player ? Is he ever gonna be good enough to be a starter for Madrid ? The answer for both question is NO. But he still is a very useful player for them, he’s been decisive and game changer a lot of times even in big games (vs Juve in CL few months ago, vs Barca plenty times). Malcom can easily be that kind of player for Barcelona. Not starting material but very useful when coming from the bench and starting when a starter is injured or missing. And that’s not even the best case scenario for Malcom since he has the potential to go further than Vasquez.

It’s not all about the starting 11, we need weapons on the bench who can come in and make an impact. Malcom can easily be that guy and he already showed that vs Inter despite playin only 3 games in 3 months.

I like his attitude! He has more energy than Rafinha and Roberto together! He needs to play much more (same as Dembele) but Cowardverde has no balls.

Both him and Dembele are players who claim every bit of ground that is offered to them. Very dangerous players.

Both of them had a great attitude when they come on. They need to play much more and not that Roberto+Semedo combo or f...Rafinha.

Brought big energy to the team, as well as pace. BBZ always say he is slow, well he doesn't have that crazy Mbappé/Sané/Dembélé pace but he has good pace. None of our attackers is faster than him except Dembélé. And in the whole squad, only Dembélé and Alba are faster.
