I agree 100 % with you, Hamzah.

FC Barcelona should adapt a Spartan approach to their doings in the future; worry about the clubs fans, the clubs success and the clubs future. Behave within the rules, establish relationships of mutual benefits but still lead every dealing and negotiation with one higher purpose - The wellbeing and success of the club.

I absolutely read doings as dongs, and for a moment thought of Spartans in skimpy underwear.

Seems strange to be fighting for a player with AS Roma, though

The thing is, most of us, who watched Malcom last season, were (will be) surprised, that he was going to go to Roma and not one of the big clubs...especially considering that among the interested clubs was Bayern, who really wanted him a couple of months ago and he was rumoured to replace Robben there, which would be another typical great and smart with 'no fuss' kind of transfer that Bayern often make. When all the other clubs are paying 50M+ plus for wingers, Bayern swoops in and quickly gets it done for 30-40M and the guy they buy becomes a 100M+ player in like two years. So that's why i'm gonna be surprised, if our Board can actually pull this off, even though we should really be in the driving seat, if it's a straight choice between Roma and Barca for Malcom...especially since he knows he could easily break into the Barca starting lineup as well with Valverde still not having the full trust in Dembele. And i would much rather see two great 21-year olds battle it out for the starting spot, than to see Willian come and the fans being optimistic that he came to be Dembele's rotation, and then seeing Valverde obviously preffering the older, good defensive player, while the exciting young gun that is Dembele rots on the bench.

Malcom coming allows me to also dream of Dembele moving to LW and watching that Dembele-Messi-Malcom attack...SO MUCH MORE PACE than we had last season. Would be a complete turn around to watching slow poke Suarez dragging his fat ass out there and slowing down every quick play Alba and Messi make.

he plays same position as dembele?can't say i see the point of this transfer, especially while valverde is in charge

Because Barca need more than one option with pace that can dribble and another wide player allows for more chances of Coutinho in midfield if needed.

This type of signings increase the options to Barca massively.

Or can just moan about EV as that seems to be a set thing for some.

Dembele is good at LW or RW, remember he likes to shoot with his right foot but hes left footed. iirc he was also tried in CAM at Dortmund

------Arthur-Coutinho
Malcom-Messi-Dembele

for the future is looking sexy

Would like to see him or Malcolm if he comes play on LW at times.

Messis favourite pass in football is to a left winger in space. Cant just be Alba the whole time particularly if trying to hit teams on break.

Dembele is very versatile though and we do need some more pace and goal scoring prowess in our team. Would have been good with more attacking off-the ball movement as well, but overall the transfer does make sense.

Inbefore: we buy Malcom, he plays bad in defense and we'll again play 442 with: Coutinho, Busquets, Rakitic, Gomes/Vidal/Roberto
