No offense to Roma fans, but when Real Madrid or Barca wants you it's very hard to say know. As seen with Seri you sometimes only get one shot, one opportunity like this. As a Brazilian it's even more tempting when those two clubs come calling.

Also just looking at various Roma forums/boards, fuck me they are bitter.
Some pretty disgusting and overly bitter fans they have. They genuinely think they are superior to Barcelona at the moment because of their 3-0 victory when in reality Barca have a much better squad than Roma, which last season resulted in them winning nothing while Barca did the domestic double. Barca win the majority of matches vs sub top clubs like Roma, so it doesn't matter in the long run. Barca signing Malcom is not about getting back at Roma, but more so about signing a quality RW, which the club have been searching for.

Now their fans are crying because they think Malcom should be their player. Guess what Roma fans (and I know you're reading), he didn't sign anything and neither did his agent. So better get that Roma suing Barca or Malcolm's agent out of your heads. He can still be yours if he wants to and his current club agrees with him. Don't be bitter cunt about Barca wanting a talented player.

Exactly! Baffled by people bashing Dembele on his defensive contribution, especially when he's a pure winger, who contributes most by running the wing he is on, creating chances and scoring goals. People seem to have fallen into the Valverde and Mourinho's thinking pattern, where a winger is only good as his defensive contribution.

And we'd have the exact opposites in Willian and Dembele, and we all know who Valverde would constantly prefer. The boring, defensive one. While the quick and exciting one rides the bench. But if we get Malcom, we got an exciting winger in the lineup in any case, maybe even both, if Dembele moves to the left!

You need context.
If you have 2 wingers and a CF like Etoo who can defend, then wingers could defend less.
If you have Messi and Suarez in attack, you are in problems then.
If your midfielder is Coutinho, you are in deep shit then.

The same as how we (forum) lately learned that we need some mobility since Busi and Raki are slow and how Pjanic wouldn't work with them, in the same way we need to analyze defending: you need to add our other players into the maths.

For example, try to write your dream lineup for next season, you can include Malcom, Dembele, Arthur.
Pick 442 or 433 and try to write a lineup without 4 players who are not defending too much.
