Malcom

This is the attitude I want to see from Malcom. That is how you overcome confidence issues. By keep going at it.

Some points.
1) Malcom needs to play more. He is our 4th best attacker this season (1.Messi 2.Dembele 3. Suarez 4. Malcom) - In that order. The first 3 can't play everything and the two old men need to be kept as fresh as possible. At RW, Malcom can add a lot. The more he plays, the better he will be.

2) He has missed 3 one-on-ones. But the key here is that he has gotten into the positions through good off the ball movement and pace. Another season and that is 3 goals on his resume. The goals he has scored were more difficult to finish.

3) He is more limited than expected. He can't play LW like initially thought, but neither can Messi. On the other hand I love his one touch play, spacial awareness and off the ball movement. He is not as naturally talented as Vinicius per say, but you can see he has hardworking and a footballing brain. Enough to be our new Pedro. All this confirms to me that he will be solid at FW as added to this he is strong on the ball.

You might find it hard to accept, but RMU was not a troll. He truly believed what he was arguing.

If you actually read the comment i replied to it implied RMU is a dumbshit not a troll. And Enjoy your life is a dumbshit as well.

one good match in a long times & now he is suddenly ahead of cou and should get a regular minute......

then when he play badly next match he is finished and we should sell to china......

he is good bench option, nothings more or less.

If he'll repeat this 10 times, I will say it.
If a good match will come here and there, then I won't.
But then, you'll again say that he plays hot and cold only due to a stupid Ev, so why bother?

So why do you not waste time in saying he is not good enough after 1 match with the b team? Why do you not apply that logic?

What do you expect as a reply?
One more time, what do you expect from me?
Omg, I was wrong, EV was wrong, Malcom deserves a spot here?
We expect you not to be biased, not to assume that Valverde is always right, and not write off players prematurely.

Malcom hasn't yet proved he deserves a spot here, because the sample size is not large enough (thanks Valverde). He hasn't proved otherwise either.

Went from underrated to overrated in 80 minutes. He doesn't look great but things seem to happen around him, which could be useful.

Two times messi would have passed the ball to malcom to create chances, i guess today wasn't one of his best days

Happy to have been one of this bigger defenders here continuously and always knew that he was a much, much better player than he was showing here so far. Mostly due to a ridiculously low amount of playing time and zero confidence or close to it from Valverde. So it was not exactly strange for him to have needed to gain confidence as the game progressed yesterday night to crown his very good game with a goal.

Hopefully this will be a key match for him looking forward in order for us to have a reliable substitute and starter depending on the opponent and rotation for the reminder of the season. In fact the most important and decisive part of the season.

Could not have been more happy that it was Malcom of all players who scored yesterday.

you can't miss chances like the one in the first half in such a situation (down to Real in a game where the team is struggling so much to create any chances). that's all I can say about Malcolm

Says a lot that despite that miss and bad start to the game overall he overcame, adapted and won.

I agree that you can't miss chances like that and he missed a similar chance vs Sevilla away in the Copa. However, the most important thing for me is that he is getting into those goalscoring position. You can always teach a player on how to be more composed and fine tune your finishing. But it's a lot harder to be in those situations in the first place so I'm sure Malcom will work hard and he will improve his finishing. He's got the right mentality as even though he missed a huge chance, he never gave up and tried to make things happen, which is what I expect from a Barca player.
