Lol, of course Malcom wants to play for Barça. Agents have already a bad reputation everywhere, what did you expect to listen? We are going to undo this deal because at the hand of day barça appeared with a big offer.

Two things happened for the agent say this:

1- Bordeaux goes back on the deal and accepts Roma offer. Whether for pressure of the italian club or because legally they are binded to the deal somehow(we don't know the details).
2- The agent is simply saving his face in italian side. This is the kind of attitude that makes a team stop negotiating with certain agents.
The player will go to barça eventually, but not exactly now, when the shock would be bigger.

I think option number 1 is more likely

and what happens to Suarez and Messi? i agree btw that we need players like Malcom but lets be realistic.. we'll be playing the same shitty 442 under EV as usual

It's called rotations. No way Suárez plays close to every match. Messi might, but even he will be rested a few matches. Mostly Suárez though.

so Malcom, 20 years old, would rather come to Barca and be a rotation option vs starting and playing every game at Roma?

This proves how much shite the press make up.

Tripping over themselves to claim Malcolm had 'given the thumbs up' and was on his way.

Nothing but guesswork.

My earlier post which you responded to.

So he does actually prefer a club where he likely will win no titles and compete with Ünder and not Barca where titles are almost guaranteed and playig time still would be ample (with Dembele on the right or bench).

He is dumb. You only get one chance at playing for Barca. Ask Seri (now at Fulham).

Having trouble reading or remembering? Ünder is their golden boy. He is far from playing every match at Roma let alone starting.

Quit belly-aching.

Malcolm can play anywhere upfront, at Roma, as long as his form doesn’t drop massively, he almost always be in the starting XI, the same cannot be said about Barça.

At his age, I wouldn’t care too much about titles. If he goes to Roma and performs, he develops even further, be guranteed at least one more big move (to a bigger club), and he’ll get looks for Brazilian NT.

Our own player (Dembélé) took a similar route. Barça could have got him for under €25m from Rennes but he chose to go somewhere he’d get playing time and develop without pressure....a year later, we broke a record fee for him.

Roma paying 40mil for a player, he'll be a starter

you think he wants to play under valverde? and hear year long criticism about how he "doesn't track back enough"?

Can see this go either way. Roma clear favorites as of now. If Bordeaux isn't obliged to a deal, I can see them not letting Malcom go (who would?). He might join us in the end if otherwise risked staying. Depends on the club, really.

Doubt it.

But OJO better be on the airport.

edit: that tweet is 2 hours old if I see correctly. So, no.

Seen a couple of variations of that quote from his agent.

One saying Malcom’s agent Fernando Garcia: "We agree with Rome and we were coming to Rome. Bordeaux has momentarily blocked us, but our will is clear."

And the other.

Malcom's agent: "We had an agreement with AS Roma, but we stopped Bordeaux from fulfilling it. We hope to solve his future tomorrow."

Hmmm.

Either way lets see what happens tomorrow.
