Malcom

Seen a couple of variations of that quote from his agent.

One saying Malcom’s agent Fernando Garcia: "We agree with Rome and we were coming to Rome. Bordeaux has momentarily blocked us, but our will is clear."

And the other.

Malcom's agent: "We had an agreement with AS Roma, but we stopped Bordeaux from fulfilling it. We hope to solve his future tomorrow."

Hmmm.

Link?

tekkers,

Of course, it'a Barcelona, not Valverde ahah

I don't like Valverde that much but a player doesn't normally turned down Barcelona for that reasons. Plus, Valderde won the league and cup last year.

I wonder if our sporting staff even talked to Malcolm or his agent before making this bid...

I feel like these guys had no idea that this was even coming from Barca.

The player intended to go to Rome. Him and his agent will meet with Bordeaux tomorrow to discuss if anything changes due to the offer from Barca.

Might be too late to turn him back now, but it is expected that Bordeaux will pressure him to take the Barca offer because of the higher financial package.

Whatever happens it's pretty clear we won't go for Willian anymore due to Chelsea's high demands.

Before people start panicking about us missing out on Malcom and returning to Willian.

There you have it.

The two offers are on the table. Bordeaux will try to convince him to go to Barca.

It's all up to Malcolm to choose.

It's a big decision for Malcom.

If it was Roma vs some club lets say Lyon,Everton etc. He would likely still go to Roma without much hesitation. But once you have a big club like us sniffing around and putting a good offer on the table then it becomes rather complicated.

More playing time or the possible one time chance of coming to Barcelona. I mean it's a tough decision and I really don't blame who he chooses. I would love for him to come here since we need another option out on the wings to go along with Dembele and Coutinho.

This would be a really exciting signing. If EV gives him the minutes he planned to give Willian then it could be a great move. Let's be honest, out of 38 La Liga games you could probably get away with starting Vidal in atleast 30 of them. Let alone a Dembele or Malcolm.

As for Dembele, I really get the feeling that our plan will be for him to be rotation for the front 2. Suarez and Messi won't have the legs for every game, and perhaps EV doesn't see the defensive workrate or discipline for a position closer to midfield.

Just waiting for some another club to hop in... I'm pretty sure more clubs will be interested after this.

Could be Roma as well, who might as well increase their offer.

Martial or Malcolm? Who is better. Martial is mainly a left winger but isn't that what we need if we want to go back to 4-3-3. Messi starting with Martial Dembele and Suarez rotating and have Coutinho as midfielder. Both would be better choices than Willian considering Suarez form and Messi age signing a young attacker is not a bad choice. If they live up to potential they will definitely get minutes. Willian would only serve a short term solution that too a very costly one. Martial would cost around 70m around mostly.

Malcom is a low risk if done around reported €40M.

Hell, even RM splashed more than that twice on 17 year olds.
