I don't know how it will turn out but paying 40m on a young attacker is better than 80m on inconsistent 30 year old winger. Still think we need a midfielder but don't think we will sign anyone. Malcom is surely for depth, don't think he is starter material.

We were never going to pay anything close to that for Willian.

Can you provide us with the stats of that "losing ball problem"? And can you please enlighten us all about Malcom??? Since you are such an expert and apparently you know a lot about him, please elaborate why is better to play Malcom on RW while Dembele should play as a LW though that's not his natural position?

I hope you'll provide us with detailed analysis. Everyone is on a hype train and we just paid over 40 mil for a guy nobody knows anything about?!?! Sorry but I am going to stay skeptical until I see him play.

Dembele couldn't even get a game, let alone be told to play on either flank. But I guess it yields a bit of tactical flexibility for Valverde. Makes Paco pretty much useless, even as a squad player.

Definitely. Very strange sequence of events but continues to support the notion that this board lacks a sporting direction much less who is making the decisions on targets

I like Willian and he certainly could've played a valuable role in this team but never at the rumoured fees

It's way better to have a 21 year old come & potentially bench another 21 year old than a player at the tail end of his career.

So I really don't care what happens between dembele & Malcom just need for valverde to stop is cowardice ways.

I didnt say he is better then Dembele.

If you were watched any games last season you can see that he losses possesion very often and have some problems with inacurate passing.
I would say it is all about his concentration.
If you deny this then we don't need to talk anymore.

I heard about Malcom before one year I think Man Unt was also intersted like Arasenal etc.
Also about Demeble playing LW is all about that I want to see them bouth on the pitch.

In realty in 442 i KO stages and important matches in la liga I wouldn't be suprised seeing bouth on the bench.

But I hope soo Dembele will show more this season beacuse we can agree it was failure last season.

What now:
1. what if Malcom will play better than Dembele, take his spot and hinder his development?
2. also, what if Dembele will hinder Malcom's development?

They are both 21.
Till now, fans were on "Dembele's side" against Willian.
On which side are fans now? Dembele's development or Malcom's development, or will they suddenly BOTH have enough of room to grow, unlike in Willian's case?

He is good on FIFA though.
