Late to the party. Is this guy any good? Do we have any consensus on that?

Malcom is one the most talented RW in football. At 21 years old and for the price we pay it's a very good deal for Barca.

Dembele play on both the right and left, so Malcom will still get plenty of opportunities. When Malcom is RW, Dembele moves to LW where we know he thrives and Coutinho moves from LW to AM/CM.

Malcom and Dembele give a lot of flexibility tactically while still getting playing time in the biggest competitions playing with and against the absolute best players

This is not a good deal. It's a great deal.

This signing shouldn't be an excuse for him not to get playing time. If anything it should be motivation for him to work harder and prove himself this season.

Till yesterday, people wrote: Willian will take Dembele's spot and hinder his development, the board are idiots.

What now:
1. what if Malcom will play better than Dembele, take his spot and hinder his development?
2. also, what if Dembele will hinder Malcom' development?

Till now, fans were on "Dembele's side" against Willian.
On which side are now? Dembele's development or Malcom's development, or will they suddenly BOTH have enough of room to grow, unlike in Willian's case?

Dembele needs competition. I actually don’t mind either player. Willian is good cos he can start straight away, experienced, can defend. Malcolm is good cos he’s cheaper, allows another signing, high ceiling.

I’m actually worried about Dembele, his attitude is poor so far. A truly great talent like ronaldo never had problems with hard work and improving his game. He never needed another player to provide competition to make him work:

I didnt say he is better then Dembele.

If you were watched any games last season you can see that he losses possesion very often and have some problems with inacurate passing.
I would say it is all about his concentration.
If you deny this then we don't need to talk anymore.

I heard about Malcom before one year I think Man Unt was also intersted like Arasenal etc.
Also about Demeble playing LW is all about that I want to see them bouth on the pitch.

In realty in 442 i KO stages and important matches in la liga I wouldn't be suprised seeing bouth on the bench.

But I hope soo Dembele will show more this season beacuse we can agree it was failure last season.

Dembele was injured for the major part of last season so you can not judge him like that. In some games that he played he was really good and in some he was invisible. He showed that he can make a great pass and score great goals. He undoubtedly has a big potential and I would never move him to LW just to accommodate Malcom. Dembele is IMHO one of the biggest talents out there and to move him out of his position just to accommodate inferior player (talent wise) is plain stupid. They can both fight for RW position I don't have problem with that but playing someone out of position is just stupid. Right footed player should play on the left wing plain and simple and yes Dembele can play with both feet but it's clear as a day he is more comfortable on the right side.

He is good on FIFA though.
We'll see how good he is in reality.

We are on the side of common Sense which says you don't spend 70-80m on a 30 year old, who will have zero resale value outside of china.

Better to have 2 young players fight it out if they will play on the same sign & to the Victor goes the spoils & will see the loser for decent money.

One thing is for sure none of them will he as bad as willian for us over the medium to long term.

It is not like he is playing CB.He played in Dortmund in CAM,LW,RW...I know he was injured but I think he have problems with attitude.He seems like he does not care much.

I like his way of playing really much , he is fast, can dribble 3 players , great fake shot , shooting with both feets but my impresion is that was bad season for him.
I think also that he don't have mindset for playing constatly good.

Thats my opinion.

Whether we like it or not, at the age Suarez is at, he could turn into a worse player than Paco and Luis Muriel next season. Are we still going to play him for the entire season? Everything has its limits. Not that Malcom is a Suarez replacement but he does provide goals unlike most other players in our team. And we need a quality squad. Gomes, Arda, Vidal, Denis have proven they have nothing to offer this team.

Malcom - 12 goals in France?!?!?! He scored 21 goals in the last TWO seasons while Paco scored 15 during the same period but with less playing time. A TRUE GOAL MACHINE! Allow me to be skeptical...

Honestly even only with Messi, Suarez, Dembele and Coutinho we have the same problem....
