It doesnt mean Barca have been working on a deal for two weeks and got it done just in time.

But it does mean Barca were far more aware of Malcolm than a lot would like it to be just some last minute panic punt.

Well to be fair it is possible we did meet with his agents a couple of weeks ago but weren't sure yet to progress as we were looking at Willian first and Malcom and his agent weren't willing to wait around as Roma were interested in him the most.
