Bertus, didn't Makelele criticize Sakho?

EDIT: Found something,
Makelele did. Because even if he was like a friend to him, even he couldn't endure how Sakho act like a spoiled brat.

Sakho thinks he was first in the line because PSG was where he became pro in comparison to foreign players.

But feelings don't count, only skills and performance on the field do.

And even Makelele got mad at him for not understanding that and also because Sakho used the medias to complain

Long interview in L'Equipe.

Here's my translation of selected quotes. I'll post more later maybe.

---------

"Do you think there will not be internal competition at Liverpool?"

Mamadou Sakho assumes his choice to leave PSG. In the newspaper L'Equipe, he suggests that the competition was unfair without sharing much details.

"Laurent Blanc said himself that a player should do its career choices based on its connections with the national team"

"The only time I didn't make it to the national team was during the Euro 2012. I just wanted for this to never happen again"

"Contrary to what i heard, I never was afraid of internal competition to become the main CB of PSG. Do you think there will be no competition here at Liverpool?"

"You know, there are things that happens in the life of a club that I will not talk about"

"Some things were said by the president and officials of the club, but there were sometimes just words with nothing following them"

"I could have won the money jackpot by leaving in january but it was not my choice. I didn't want to betray the club"

"I accomplished lots of things with PSG and I am proud of it. I'm leaving with a high head"

"I want to thank the public of the Parc des Princes for the standing ovation they gave me last saturday even if I already left for Liverpool at that time to sign my contract"

"To leave PSG was my choice. PSG didn't force me to."

Well it'll be interesting because both he and Agger are left footed so to play both may upset the balance at the back. I don't know.

But you can throw as much negative connotations as possible but the fact remains Sakho is a physical beast and under the right manager with the right tutelage is world class material.

He will take time to adapt to english conditions of course and probably won't see the best of him until after Christmas at the earliest, however speaking for most LFC supporters we are absolutely delighted to have signed Sakho.

At least with he and Toure we won't be getting bullied at the back anymore.

Seeing how Rodgers has improved some of the players in the last 12 months I am comfortable in saying he'll do the same with Sakho.

There is just such huge upside if Sakho reaches his potential. It's crazy.

We'll see who's right about sakho's case.

I still believe what you think of him is wishful thinking. I think it hurts his career more than it helps to see him higher than he really is.

I might be wrong though.

We'll see at the end of the seaon. Let's talk about him again next time.

I just want to thank PSG for GIVING US Sakho.

Bertus you are WRONG WRONG WRONG on so many levels my friend you are wrong.

Apart from one iffy moment today he was sublime on so many things. His passing game is actually fan fucking tastic. His reading of the game is magnificent. He is a beast of man physically strong and dominant on the floor and in the air.

IMO he will eventually replace Kompany as the best defender in the league.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart PSG.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you overreacting An, he's improved right now but he still has a lot of way before getting compared to Kompany. Actually getting in a smaller team in comparison with PSG and maybe because he was never captain or having a word in the team improved in some way his mentality. Hopefully for you eventually he'll improve more but to say all these right now is overracting.
