Alves - had a fabulous first half capped off with the pass to Fabregas chance and the assist. Didn't create as much in the second but was dangerous and very solid defensively, making several great tackles. A tad careless at times.
Thiago - incredible in the first half, just as good as Alves if not better.
Alexis - a very good goal and an assist, as well as some good movement

Honorable mentions: Messi, Iniesta, Puyol

1. Alves = was mostly a right winger today. His fantastic cross for Alexis opened up the score.

2. Puyol = el capitan marshalled the defense not giving any space to on comers. Great to see the cleansheet streak come to an end with his help.

3. Sanchez = had some miss passes but was decisive with his header and with a nice one touch assist to Messi. One of his best games this season.

Puyol-An absolute rock at the back, defended brilliantly and left Deportivo looking for even a single chance. Phenomenal performance.
Sanchez-Excellently taken header, and wonderful give and go with Messi. Really good attacking game from him in general, and I hope this instigates a better run of form.
Alves-Always threatening on the right flank, delivered nice crosses this game and always looked ready to terrorize the defense. Got back well as well.
